I use it all the time.   Mostly I use the Boss GT-8 for recording with
as well as a RedBox Cabinetulator to smooth out the fuzzy overdrive
sounds.  
However, once you recorded a song..Ampltibue is amazing for just going
in and adding an amp or studio sound to a previous recording.
