Kate Burke and Ruth Hazleton - Update
The beginning of Kate Burke and Ruth Hazleton's tour has hit a few
speedbumps, but we're navigating round them one gig at a time, so please
bear with us.

Basically Kate is already here, but Ruth has got a minor health issue
which will keep her out of the UK for the beginning of the tour. We're
all still hanging on for the results of one more test, which we should
have by Thursday, but already things are becoming much clearer.

Ruth may have to have a minor surgical procedure (or may avoid it) but
either way there is a 90% chance that she will be able to travel next
week. It looks like she will be able to travel at the latest Thurs of
next week (17th July) or possibly earlier.

Until then Kate is doing the first two gigs on the tour solo - that's
Wednesday 9th at Arundel and Sunday 13th at Twickenham, and we think all
the other gigs (from Chase folk club on 19th July) should be fine. After
that it should be business as usual.

Kate plays solo gigs all the time at home, of course, so it's no
problem.

We wish Ruth a speedy recovery.

Cheers

Saw Kate at Arundel, The Famous Willows Folk Club, last night and was
totally transfixed throughout. A totally magical performer. Such a
great voice, beautiful guitar work, fascinating choice of songs,
fabulous melodies. An excellent evening. Recommended unreservedly!

Excellent, Hamish, thanks. I'll pass that on.
