Announce - Live Sound Engineering Course
Dear uk.music.folk

There has been quite a lot of chat on here about sound, PA and
amplification. If you fancy having a go yourself.......now's your
chance!

Just thought I'd make a quick post to let you know about the live
sound engineering courses I'm running. They are practically based, and
aim to cover everything from setting up equipment, right through to
mixing with a live band. In this instance, the band will be the Dan
James trio inc. Peter Miln of Firebrand fame.

There are only 4 places on each course - the date are:
2nd June
16th June
7th July

Based in Gloucestershire and cost £150
Further details at http://www.live-engineer.co.uk
or come and find me at Cromer Folk on the Pier!

All the best

Hi Stephen

No I'm afraid I can't claim responsibility for the levels at that gig!
Large acts like Shooglenifty always bring their own sound engineer.
This year their new engineer did a fine job of the Shoogles.

All the best
