They're here!

Canadians Tanglefoot are safely holed up at my house in Yorkshire in 
anticipation of their 2008 UK Tour, which started this Thursday, 1st May 
at Huntingdon Hall in Worcester.

This year they won best Vocal Group in the Canadian Folk Music Awards. 
Whoo-hoo, well done, lads (and lass).

Their lineup consists of the usual suspects: Steve Ritchie, Al Parrish 
and Terry Young with fiddler and viola player Sandra Swannell now on her 
third tour with the band. Their outgoing pianist, Brian Weirmier has 
been replaced by Rob Ritchie, Steve's brother who used to be in the band 
until three or four years ago. Unfortunately Rob can't commit to six 
weeks outside of Canada, so the pianist on this tour is the fantastic 
Robert Graham; he plays, he sings and he's got long corkscrew hair.
