ANN: Spooky songs evening on 13 November
Energetic folk duo Mich Sampson (piano, voice) and Marilisa Valtazanou
(guitar, voice, and any other instrument lying around) provide an
evening of songs with a spooky twist...
An evening of spooky songs with Playing Rapunzel
Supported by Russ Chandler
Friday 13th November, 8pm (doors open 7.30pm)
The Plough Inn, 173 Wood Street, Walthamstow, London E17 3NU
Entry £6 (discounted tickets at www.playingrapunzel.com/gigs.html)
Mich says:
"We have a lot of darker folk songs, but we usually can't play them all
in one concert, for fear of creeping everyone out or making everyone too
depressed! So we thought, why not have an evening specifically for the
angst-lovers? And what better night than Friday 13th, just after the
Halloween season? So we'll be bringing songs about doomed romances,
Dracula, Merlin, and more. And there'll probably be a competition or
two, as well as some musical 'advert breaks' to lighten the mood. And of
course, real ale and good company always lightens the mood!"
