Maybe so - but the song is not about that, in any way at all. It is a
nasty little revenge fantasy, presumably written out of outrage that
compassion should be ever shown, and with a knee-jerk, unquestioning
assumption that somebody convicted of a crime must necessarily be guilty
of that crime.
I can't help wondering whether there will be companion songs written
about the Birmingham Six, the Guildford Four and the Maguire Seven.
