SONGS 4 WORSHIP: COUNTRY CONTINUES TO DOMINATE COUNTRY AND CHRISTIAN CHARTS
MORE THAN THREE MONTHS AFTER RELEASE
Fairfax, VA (January 14, 2008) ---- Songs 4 Worship; Country remains a
strong contender on the Country and Christian charts more than three months
after its release date, October 2, 2007. Total scans for last week were
9,866, the biggest week to date, and chart positions from Soundscan are #3
for Contemporary Christian, #14 for the Country charts, and # 93 in
Billboard's Top 200 Album Charts.
"Songs 4 Worship: Country was from the beginning a very special project for
us," says Mike Jason, Senior Vice President, Audio & Video Retail, Time
Life. "The label, the producers and the artists went into the recording with
the goal of making a great album with a strong message and to see the fans
react so positively is really gratifying. We are working on a star-studded
event to support Songs 4 Worship: Country that will take place in Nashville
during Fan Fair."
The strong response from media and fans comes from the powerful performances
of today's hottest Country artists, many of which had never recorded Praise
& Worship music before. The CD features twelve classic Praise and Worship
songs with a Country twist plus three brand new compositions. On top of that
Rascal Flatts contributed one of their existing recordings for this very
special collection. The album showcases the talents of such top Country
artists as Charlie Daniels, Oak Ridge Boys, Emerson Drive, Ricky Skaggs and
Diamond Rio, to name just a few. Co-producers Teddy Gentry and Michael
Curtis thought combining praise and worship music with these artists would
be a perfect match.
"I was thrilled to become part of such a special recording project where my
faith could play a part," says Gentry, former bassist of supergroup Alabama.
"Most Country artists have a gospel music background so the response from
the guest artists was also very positive."
The fans and press have been supportive of Songs 4 Worship: Country since
its release and major coverage for the project has included, Billboard,
Country Aircheck, All Access, Country Standard Time, About.com, Country
Weekly, Christian Retailing, CountryMusicOnline.net, Homecoming Magazine,
Phantom Tollbooth, Music Row Magazine, ChristianMusicToday.com, Great
American Country, Country Music Television, Gospel Music Channel,
WMBI/Moody-Chicago, ABC Radio News, Soul2Soul Radio, Roots Music Report,
SouthernGospel.com, and local Nashville TV affiliates, WSMV, WKRN, WZTV.
The Songs 4 Worship album series has sold more than 9 million units since
its debut in 2000 and has been marketed by both Time Life and Integrity
Records. Time Life is selling Songs 4 Worship:Country at mainstream retail
outlets with Integrity Distribution servicing the CBA market.
Club Connection Announces Top Ten Country Club And Dance Hits Of 2007
(Nashville, Tenn. - January 14th, 2008) For the fourth consecutive year,
Marco Promotions' Club Connection surveyed over 200 country nightclubs and
dance instructors nationwide to determine the most played and most requested
club and dance titles of the past 12 months.
The fight for the number-one spot on Club Connection's 2007 Top Club and
Dance Songs chart was a close battle between two songs that ran away from
the rest of the pack. In the end, Josh Turner's "Firecracker" narrowly beat
LeAnn Rimes' "Nothin' Better To Do," finishing the year first and second
respectively. Both songs are current singles.
Three songs that were seemingly made for the club scene claim the third,
fourth and fifth places on Club Connection's chart. In third place, Blake
Shelton is raising glasses with "The More I Drink." Trace Adkins is giving
club-goers confidence in their pick-up lines and dating techniques with "I
Got My Game On," ranking fourth. Rounding out the top five is Cowboy Troy in
his effort to get all the ladies on the dance floor, "Hick Chicks."
Current CMA Male Vocalist of the Year Brad Paisley landed at Club
Connection's number six with his number-one hit "Ticks." In spite of doing
repair jobs and selling turnips off the back of a truck for a living,
relationship-challenged guys head to the club to find hope and reassurance
in the seventh and eighth spots on the Club Connection chart. Toby Keith's
"High Maintenance Woman" charts at number seven, and Billy Currington's
number-one song "Good Directions" lands at number eight.
Country newcomers round out Club Connection's top ten for 2007. Luke Bryan's
debut single "All My Friends Say" from his album "I'll Stay Me" takes the
number nine position. Finishing up the top ten is Rissi Palmer's "Country
Girl," which entered the club scene late in the year, but still managed a
top-ten spot on the club chart.
Steve Holy's "Brand New Girlfriend," the number one club song for 2006,
continued its popularity in 2007 to take the number one re-current position.
Rodney Atkins's 2006 number one song "If You're Going Through Hell" earned
the second highest re-current rotation for 2007.
Club Connection's Top Ten Club And Dance Hits Of 2007
1. Josh Turner, "Firecracker"
2. LeAnn Rimes, "Nothin' Better To Do"

The "New Queen of Bluegrass" has a "Good Thing Going" with new album
debuting at #1
Nashville, TN - The IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association) and
SPBGMA (Society for Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America) have their
hands full with Ms. Bluegrass herself, Rhonda Vincent. Here we are thirty
four years since Vincent received her first award from the SPBGMA for Best
Single Recording for "Muleskinner Blues", and not only is Vincent still
kicking, but she's on top of the world with her 2008 album, "Good Thing
Going" debuting at number one on Billboard's Bluegrass charts.
"I am thrilled!" said Rhonda Vincent. "It is particularly gratifying since I
co-wrote five songs on this album. That makes it even more special to me."
Rhonda Vincent may have received multiple awards for her ability to wow
people with anything with strings, but nothing may have been as rewarding as
her accomplishment of "Good Thing Going," which very well may be her most
challenging and personal album yet. Vincent is known for her sweet sounding
vocals, fiery mandolin picking, and her massive touring schedules.
Rhonda will be kicking off her "Good Thing Going" tour on January 18th. For
the complete touring schedule, go to www.rhondavincent.com or

Texan Zane Lewis Makes National Debut With Eponymous CD, Set For March 11
Release
Nashville, TN (January 14, 2008) -- Sixth-generation Texan Zane Lewis
laughed out loud at the use of "eponymous," and asked, "wouldn't it just be
easier to say 'self-titled?" Lewis, as you'll discover, isn't much for
fancy talk (or idle chatter); the long, tall, guitar-slinging
singer/songwriter is much more interested in making music, and he gets
straight down to the nitty-gritty on his first nationally-released CD, ZANE
LEWIS, due out March 11.
From the opening notes of the disc's first track, "Welcome To The Southland"
(B. Terry/B. Crister), you know that this is a singer blessed with a big
dose of Skynyrd - and a heap of George Jones - deep in his soul. A
hell-raising "Yeah" and ringing electric guitars kick off the track - and
drummer Tommy Harden (Big & Rich; Jack Ingram; Taylor Swift) earned
double-scale on this one. It's a high-amped, in-your-face, tour-de-force
party song - but Southern to the core, saluting everything from football to
fishin'; from beer to homegrown greens. Zane's vocal style is distinctive,
rich and edgy; there may be more rock than country in his voice on this cut,
but the man can sing. On the album's first single, "Come With Me," written
by Nashville hit men Brandon Hart and Mark D. Sanders, Zane powers things
down and "channels" Elvis Presley's sexy snarl. He handles the rangy,
love-in-the-making lyric with an easy confidence that's as appealing as his
bad boy good looks - and every bit as believable as the more rockin' tracks.
Kudos to producers Lex Lipsitz (Shooter Jennings, Jessi Colter, Wade Bowen),
and singer/songwriter Brett James for capturing the energy and spirit of
Zane Lewis, and for bringing out the best in the extraordinary songs that
Zane personally selected or co-wrote for this project. Session leader and
rhythm guitarist Curt Ryle (Steve Holy; Taylor Swift; Carolyn Dawn Johnson)
also deserves a nod for assembling an A-list group of players with some
heavy creds. Album highlights abound and include the sweeping ballad,
"Leavin'" written by Brandon Hart, Liz Hengberger and Tommy Lee James. Tasty
fiddle work by Joe Spivey (Kenny Chesney; Faith Hill; Trick Pony) and
masterful steel guitar and dobro by Scotty Sanders (Brooks & Dunn; Trisha
Yearwood; Trace Adkins) are the perfect complement to Zane's vocal
performance. "This'll Be A Memory," with its visually-stirring lyric, and
Gary Smith's signature keyboard work (Dolly Parton; Tim McGraw; Randy
Travis), is a mid-tempo with an unforgettable chorus and a lyric that tells
the story of a man taking note of the "little" things that fill our hearts
long after love has gone. Lewis co-wrote "Fly" with Jamie Richards, and
it's a sweeping testament to the freedom found in following your dreams. "I
believe living with a free-spirit is the essence of life," Zane says. "But
those of us who live for the day are often misunderstood. We're all just
experiencing what life brings, and loving the moment ... we've learned to
fly."
Zane's been flying high on the Texas honky-tonk circuit with "Bad Ass
Country Band," a song he co-wrote with Greg Crowe and Lex Lipsitz. Charged
with the turbo lead guitar of Troy Lancaster (Brooks and Dunn; Sara Evans;
Jack Ingram), the track tells the Zane Lewis story - and kicks some serious
a** in the process. "Rocking out live is what drives me," he says. "Getting
the crowd jacked up is why I make music. I set out to write a fuel-injected
anthem that embodies our stage spectacle. And now I'm pimpin' the country
one show at a time!"
ZANE LEWIS is a Slant Records release, due in stores March 11. It's a fine
follow up to Zane's previous CD, the Texas-only issue, THIS TOWN, which
generated three Texas Music chart hits ("This Town," "Beer Drinkin' Women,"
"I Hate To See Her Go").

THE GRASCALS GUEST ON "AN INTIMATE EVENING WITH EDDIE STUBBS"
NASHVILLE, TENN. (January 16, 2008)-The Grascals were guests of their good
friend Eddie Stubbs on January 10 as part of his monthly "An Intimate
Evening with Eddie Stubbs" series at the Country Music Hall of Fame &
Museum. The Grammy®-nominated sextet entertained a full house in the museum's
Ford Theater as the two-hour program aired live on 650 AM WSM and online at
http://www.wsmonline.com/. The show re-aired on January 11 on XM 10
America.
During the course of the evening The Grascals performed "Today I Started
Loving You Again," along with two new songs, "Indiana" and "Happy Go Lucky,"
all of which will be included on their next Rounder album, scheduled for
release later this year. They also announced that Vince Gill joined them in
the studio on a song called "The Sad Wind Sighs."
Stubbs' conversation with The Grascals prompted plenty of laughter and fond
recollections of their career achievements to date-from winning the IBMA's
coveted Entertainer of the Year award for the second consecutive year, to
earning Grammy nominations for their first two albums; from performing on
the Grand Ole Opry, touring with Dolly Parton and recording with the
Jordanaires and George Jones, to performing with Dierks Bentley on The Late,
Late Show with Craig Ferguson. The group also talked about their
sponsorship agreement with Mayberry's Finest Brand Foods, a line of 35
Southern-seasoned stews, chilis, vegetables and baking mixes inspired by The
Andy Griffith Show. They wrote and recorded the Mayberry's Finest jingle,
which they performed live for the "Intimate Evening" audience, and have
recorded radio and Web commercials for the product line, with television
spots to follow. According to Marcela Gomez, President of Diversity Brands,
the company that produces, distributes and markets Mayberry's Finest, "Andy
[Griffith] likes the jingle and loves The Grascals."

BRAND NEW SOPHMORE RELEASE!
SMITH MUSIC GROUP JOINS THE NEST WITH THE FIRST SINGLE LAUNCH ON FEBRUARY
4TH!
NASHVILLE-January 12-2008-"Since New Year's I have been doing nothing but
talking to radio programmers about 2008, and they are very excited about
DESPERATE HEARTS. There is as much anticipation about this new record as
anything on the horizon. I have the same feeling about the Bart Crow Band
as I did right before the Randy Rogers Band and Stoney LaRue broke. The
stage is set for a huge success." Bob Mitchell is Vice President of
Promotions at Smith Music Group, a company that for over a decade has helped
usher in the new age of independent artists and has provided a clear cut
avenue for these artists to take their music to the world. On March 4th The
BART CROW BAND touches down with their much anticipated sophomore effort
DESPERATE HEARTS on Smith Entertainment Records. The first single
"Understand" will fly into the open arms of radio on February 4th!
FINALLY, the band's debut record release in 2005, made a profound impression
on the industry generating a firm expectation that the Bart Crow Band is
destined to be one of the greats in Texas music. Selling thousands of
copies and taking rank as the best selling record on LonestarMusic.com for 5
straight months, FINALLY laid a long steady road towards stardom and it was
"Wear My Ring" that put BCB on the map. The single rested in the Texas
Music Chart's Top 15 for over 20 straight weeks and is still known today in
current rotation as "the song that just won't go away." The second single
"Driftin' In The Wind" ended up in the top 10 of the most played songs on
Texas Music Radio in 2007. The song became such a fan favorite that the band
decided to offer a new rearranged version of the song on their brand new
record release.
The title DESPERATE HEARTS gives the impression of a ballad soaked
anthology, but do not be fooled. This record gets down right country with
songs like "Back Down," a pile driver of a tune that pushes hard against the
green-eyed monster, and "Once A Day," an old school country regimen of daily
heartbreak complete with pace the room rhythm and weary fiddle cries. The
first single "Understand" is a drive down that famous Texas music highway
with country plains on one side and rocky terrain on the other. Around the
bend is a host of upward climbs with tunes like "Change" that pounds your
head against a wall when the world around you becomes alien and your "sick
and tired" has reached its limit. "Sweet Imitations" is Crow's version of
the "cheaters blues" that enters with a slow and silky confession and moves
steadily into breaks of angsty repent. Coming full circle the title track
is a rock song in country clothing, hot on the trail of loneliness mistaken
for love.
"Sometimes it's hard to tell when you're being lied to, but you always know
the truth when you hear it. Bart is genuine and passionate in his approach
to music which he trumpets from his pedestal of albums and live music."
-Jason Boland/Jason Boland and The stragglers
"The Bart Crow Band is great! Bottom line. He continues to impress me with
one great song after another. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who
works as hard at pleasing his fans not only
through recorded music, but also on stage and definitely in person!"
-Justin Frazell/KPLX "The Wolf" Dallas
"The Bart Crow Band is what this scene has been needing for quite some time.
A fan favorite with rockin' tunes. I am Looking forward to a long,
successful career from these guys."
-Shayne Hollinger/PD Mandatory FM Stephenville
DESPERATE HEARTS will be available on March 4th at national retailers
everywhere and online at your favorite web and download sites. For tour
date information, photos and the BCB diary updates check out
http://www.bartcrowband.com/. Also, Check out BCB on YouTube. and make sure
to catch they guy in the front row pantomiming the lyrics to "Wear My Ring."
