RICHIE McDONALD RELEASES NEW CHRISTMAS CD
Acclaimed singer/songwriter Richie McDonald has just released his first solo
CD, "If Everyday Could Be Christmas," on Loremoma Records (pronounced
Lo-Re-Mo-Ma). In early 2007, McDonald announced his departure as lead singer
for the multi-platinum recording group Lonestar and has since been busy
gearing up for a solo career.
"If Everyday Could Be Christmas" is a fresh, fun take on Christmas classics,
with several new songs destined to become holiday favorites. This 11-song CD
puts McDonald's distinctive voice on display, along with his much-honored
writing talents. McDonald was honored in 2002 with the prestigious BMI
Songwriter of the Year Award for "I'm Already There," and has writer's
credits on many of Lonestar's biggest hits. "If Everyday Could Be Christmas"
contains four new songs written by McDonald.
This release also spotlights McDonald's three children - Rhett, Mollie and
Maise - who lend their singing talents to the CD, adding a warm family touch
to the holiday season. And children of all ages will laugh along with "Why
Santa's Fat," McDonald's take on a child's vision of Santa!
The final cut on the CD, "Miracles Happen," was co-written with Christian
author Karen Kingsbury and will be featured in her upcoming movie,"Guidian's
Gift." This collaboration came about when McDonald and Kingsbury got
together with mutual friend Gary Baker. McDonald says "Karen Kingsbury is
not only a wonderful author of very emotional books, but she has proven to
be equally as touching when writing songs."
For more information on Richie McDonald and "If Everyday Could Be
Christmas," visit www.richiemcdonald.com. The CD is available NOW
exclusively on McDonald's website and on his upcoming 35-city Christmas tour

LeAnn Rimes Returns As Host of 26th Annual Colgate Country Showdown National
Final
Longest-Running Talent Competition
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE (November 15, 2007) -- Dean Unkefer, President of
Special Promotions, Inc. and producer of the Colgate Country Showdown, has
announced that Curb Records recording artist LeAnn Rimes will again host and
perform at the 26th Annual Colgate Country Showdown National Final on
January 24, 2008 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The Showdown is the
Nation's largest and longest-running country music talent search and radio
promotion.
Unkefer commented, "The most important thing is not winning or losing but
having the opportunity to perform in front of live audiences and be exposed
to industry professionals."
Each year the competition begins in the spring with country radio stations
producing live shows to find the best new talent in their market. These
winners then compete at the state and five regional competitions throughout
the summer and fall. The five finalists compete for the grand prize of
$100,000 at the National Final. The televised one-hour special is
syndicated nationwide and last year also aired on the GAC (Great American
Country) Network.
In addition to hosting the event, Rimes will perform two songs from her
latest CD, Family. Her first single, "Nothin' Better to Do," is currently
climbing up Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart.
Rimes has won two Grammy Awards, including the first Best New Artist
accolade ever won by a country artist. She has sold more than 37 million
records, won an American Music Award, three Academy of Country Music honors
and 12 Billboard Awards. She's scored numerous hit singles like "One Way
Ticket," "I Need You," "Nothin' 'Bout Love Makes Sense," "Probably Wouldn't
Be This Way," "Can't Fight The Moonlight," which was a #1 song in 11
countries, and "How Do I Live," which was the longest running single ever on
the Billboard Hot 100, spending a record-setting 69 weeks on the chart. Her
1996 debut Blue catapulted her to superstardom at just 13 years old and went
on to sell more than 8 million copies. For more information about LeAnn
Rimes visit www.leannrimesworld.com.
About the Showdown: Annually, more than 50,000 artists compete in the
Colgate-sponsored local competitions with 450 radio stations throughout the
U.S. and over $300,000 in cash prizes are awarded throughout 550+ live
competitions. All participants are consistently judged on five core
criteria: Marketability in Country Music, Vocal/Instrumental Ability,
Originality of Performance, Stage Presence/Charisma and Talent. Optional
bonus points can be awarded to acts with original music in the Songwriting
category. The competition boasts a "who's who" in the Country Music industry
with past local, state and regional winners including Brad Paisley, Garth
Brooks, Tim McGraw, Martina McBride, Billy Ray Cyrus, Sara Evans, Miranda
Lambert and Carrie Underwood.

COUNTRY LEGEND GARTH BROOKS' ULTIMATE HITS
DEBUTS AT #1 IN CANADA
FINAL SOLD OUT CONCERT IN KANSAS CITY, MO. WILL BE SIMULCAST
AT EMPIRE MOVIE THEATRES ACROSS CANADA TONIGHT
Toronto, ON (Wednesday, November 14) - Country legend Garth Brooks' album
Ultimate Hits (Pearl Records/Universal Music Canada) has today debuted at #1
on the Neilsen Soundscan Album Chart, selling 20,598 copies in it's first
week of release.
Ultimate Hits, a three disc package, contains 30 Garth classics, three new
songs and a bonus track; as well as a DVD featuring 33 videos, including new
and never-before-seen footage. The first single "More Than A Memory" is
currently #2 at country radio and the video is in heavy rotation at CMT in
Canada. The single debuted at #1 on the country charts, which is the first
time this has happened in US history.
The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), certified Garth Brooks
as the #1 selling solo artist in US history, he has sold in excess of 123
million albums and is the only solo artist in history to have 6 albums top
the 10 million mark. His body of work - including the groundbreaking No
Fences, Ropin' The Wind, The Hits, and Double Live - propelled country music
as a genre to the front pages of newspapers worldwide and the covers of
magazines, to the point where Forbes declared on its cover, "Country
Conquers Rock" and featured Garth in a major music piece.
Brooks has received every accolade the recording industry can bestow on an
artist, including: 2 Grammys, 17 American Music Awards, 11 Country Music
Association Awards, 18 Academy of Country Music Awards, 5 World Music
Awards, 12 People's Choice Awards, and 36 Billboard Music Awards. He was
named Artist of the '90s at the 1997 Blockbuster Entertainment Awards,
received the Artist Achievement Award at the 1997 Billboard Music Awards,
and was named Artist of the Decade at the American Music Awards in 2000 and
the Academy of Country Music Awards in 1999.
The key to his record-setting success lies within the personality and talent
of Garth Brooks. He has brought daring individualism and a love of music,
ranging from working class blues and honky tonk to bluegrass and arena rock,
to the musical table. His easy-going, approachable charisma is matched only
by his fearless willingness to take chances and step outside the lines. With
twenty-seven #1 singles, thirty-eight Top 10 hits and eleven #1 albums,
Brooks has opened the doors for many more Country artists to follow. In the
midst of one of the most successful careers in music history, Brooks retired
from touring in 1998 to spend time with his family. His retirement is often
placed on hold to perform for charities that are close to his heart.
Garth however has emerged from a self-imposed retirement for a string of
nine sold out dates in Kansas City, MO. Tonight marks the final concert and
it will be simulcast in select Empire Theatre movie theatres across Canada.

SECOND ANNUAL TRACY LAWRENCE MISSION POSSIBLE TURKEY FRY
Lawrence And Friends To Fry 400 Thanksgiving Turkeys For The Homeless
Monday, November 19, 2007 At The Nashville Union Rescue Mission
NASHVILLE, TN-November 16, 2007-Country music superstar Tracy Lawrence and
some of his friends will be frying turkeys for the homeless men, women and
children served by the Nashville Rescue Mission, Monday, November 19 in the
Mission's parking lot at 639 Lafayette St. in Nashville. This is the second
year for the Tracy Lawrence Mission Possible special Thanksgiving event,
held to create awareness of the services provided by the Mission as well as
the ongoing need for contributions and community support for this
organization. Lawrence will be joined throughout the day by some of his good
friends Jason Aldean, Wade Hayes, the Tennessee Titans Cheerleaders, Brad
Arnold (lead singer of the rock group 3 Doors Down), and Daryl Worley.
"Tracy invited me out to help him fry turkeys at the Nashville Rescue
Mission, and I can't think of a better way to kick off the holiday season,"
says Aldean. "He is doing a great thing for our community, and I look
forward to lending him a hand."
"Last year we started with a goal of 100 birds," says Lawrence, "and we
ended up frying 235. The whole idea is to raise awareness and funds for the
Nashville Rescue Mission. We plan to expand the event a little each year
with the long-term dream of turning the Monday of Thanksgiving week each
year into a day of awareness and giving to people in need across the entire
United States. We're planning to break last year's record and go for 400
birds this coming Monday, and this year I have some of my good friends
coming out to help. The folks at the Mission tell me that 400 turkeys will
translate to approximately 6,500 meals."
In addition to turkey-frying Monday, Lawrence will be calling more than a
dozen radio stations across the country to talk about his turkey fry and to
raise awareness for homeless needs and programs in other markets. "I'd love
to eventually see satellite Mission Possible events all over the country,"
adds Lawrence.
Lawrence and crew will be giving away 400 smoked turkey legs (while they
last) to individuals who stop by the Nashville Rescue Mission during the
turkey fry event and make a donation. "It's an opportunity for people to
get-a-leg-up on giving for the holiday season," Lawrence adds with a wink.
"I'm really looking forward to this. We get to have fun and help a terrific
organization that serves our community well. I'm hoping local residents will
stop by, throw us a wave or shout out 'hello,' and drop off canned food
items, clothing, personal items, or cash donations. We had a huge turnout
last year. I want it to be even bigger this year."
Tim to
Those who stop by can sign up for a Thanksgiving package giveaway. The
package will include a Masterbilt turkey fryer courtesy of Bass Pro Shops, a
3-gallon box of Crisco peanut oil, a Crisco cookbook and apron, a jar of
Cajun Injector marinade, and two Tracy Lawrence CDs (his current disc FOR
THE LOVE and his new Christmas CD titled ALL WRAPPED UP IN CHRISTMAS).
A host of generous local and national sponsors have stepped up to support
this event. The list of sponsors includes Bass Pro Shops, Blue Rhino, Cajun
Injector, Cargill, CO5 Nashville, Crisco, Guy Wallace Trailers,
Holley-Guidry Public Relations, Joslin & Son Signs, Judge Bean's Bar-B-Que,
Masterbilt, Roberts Bros. Coaches, Rocky Comfort Records, TLE Inc., Trinity
Gas, Wal-Mart, 103 WKDF, 1510 WLAC, 95.5 The WOLF, and The Big 98 WSIX-FM
("Big D & Bubba").
The Nashville Rescue Mission feeds an average of 1,300 people daily, 7 days
a week, 365 days a year. The need is ongoing. "If we work together," says
Lawrence "the Mission Is Possible." You can find more detail online at

Todd Fritsch Heats Up The Caribbean With Three-Week Tour, December 3-20
Texas Traditionalist Partners With Armed Forces Entertainment To Bring A
Touch Of Holiday Cheer To Troops
Houston, TX (November 19, 2007) - Texas traditionalist Todd Fritsch has
partnered with Armed Forces Entertainment for a three-week tour of U.S.
bases in the Caribbean December 3- 20. Fritsch and his band Stampede will
heat things up for troops at Guatanamo Bay (Cuba), Soto Cano (Honduras),
Curacao and San Juan (Puerto Rico). The trip has a special meaning for
Todd's soundman, Enrique Alvarado and bassist Robert DiBlanco; Enrique's
cousin will be in attendance at the 'Gitmo' show, and Robert served in the
German Air Force. For Fritsch, whose grandfather, uncle, and six
great-uncles served in the military, the tour is a special honor. "It's a
great way to end this year - entertaining our troops in the Caribbean," says
Todd. "I can't wait to meet the soldiers and thank them personally for their
service to our country. I hope they enjoy the shows."
Fritsch actually cancelled some stateside dates to make time for this tour,
and he's looking forward to more than just singing. Word has already reached
Texas that a big chili cook-off is planned for the Honduras date. "We get
to judge the contest," says Todd. "I bet there are some great cooks there -
and I'm hoping for some of the hot stuff!"
During the long summer months, Fritsch not only burned up the highway, but
racked up some frequent-flyer miles as well. He traveled steadily stateside,
and wrapped up his third tour of France in Lyon on September 22, where he
was honored with the "Independent Artist of the Year" award from the French
Association of Country Music. Recently, he's shared the stage with the
Brazosport Symphony Orchestra, Marty Stuart (at Gruene Hall), Aaron Tippin,
his mentor Gary P. Nunn, Pat Green, Roger Creager and Pauline Reese. His
current single, "First Date (For The Last Time)," from SAWDUST, was released
to Texas radio in October, and will be released internationally next month.
Before Todd's Armed Forces shows, he'll make his first appearance at the
Celebrity Cutting competition in Fort Worth on November 30.
You can enjoy sound clips and learn much more about Todd at
www.MySpace.com/toddfritsch or www.toddfritsch.com . Both SAWDUST and his
debut CD, TODD FRITSCH are available at the Apple i-Tunes store, and music

JASON MEADOWS HUGSS VIDEO MAKING IMPACT: AWARENESS VIDEO IS ADDED TO CMT
Star Working To Raise Funds For Families Of Fallen Heroes
NASHVILLE, TN-November 13, 2007-Country recording star Jason Meadows is
working hard to help support the families of fallen service men and women. A
very moving video that uses Meadows' song "18 Video Tapes" as the music bed
was initiated by Meadows and Baccerstick Records and uploaded on YouTube to
begin an awareness campaign for HUGSS (Helping Unite Gold Star Survivors).
It was uploaded on the popular video-viewing site approximately three weeks
ago and has had more than 40,000 views in that time. Although it was not a
part of the original plan, CMT Pure has added the video to its programming
schedule in heavy rotation, it has been added to CMT's regular video
programming schedule in medium rotation, and it has been posted and is
available for viewing on-demand at CMT.com. Meadows does not appear in the
video.
"After performing the song '18 Video Tapes' for the last year," says
Meadows, "I have had someone come up to me at every show and tell me their
story as it relates to the song. Often, it has been the story of a soldier
who was killed in action and the kids that they left behind. It gave us an
idea. We wanted to find a way for '18 Video Tapes' to help these families,
so we put together this video and, hopefully, it will move people enough to
take action. This video isn't about me or my song. It's about helping people
who have a loved one who made the ultimate sacrifice.their life. It's an
opportunity for all of us to REALLY support our troops by helping their
families. Take a look and send the link to everyone you can. The more that
people know about HUGSS, the more good we can do."
Meadows and the creative services and artist development team at Baccerstick
Records, Jeanine Pellegrino and Heather Bay, then began work to put the idea
in motion. "We are honored to be teaming with HUGSS," says Pellegrino. "We
originally did this video as a tribute to these military heroes and their
families and to help get the word out about HUGSS and the terrific work this
organization does. To have CMT add the video when Jason is not even featured
in it is incredible. It shows how important this message is."
"It'll really choke you up," adds Meadows. "There's no acting in this video,
man. These are real people and this is reality."
As a separate and second project, Meadows recently put together a
fundraising campaign with the Oklahoma Chapter of the FFA (Future Farmers of
America) to benefit HUGSS. He and the folks at Baccerstick Records helped to
create a competition among Meadows' local home state chapters of the FFA in
hopes that the competition will raise funds and awareness for HUGSS and then
spread to other state chapters across the country.
Members of the Oklahoma chapter that raises the most money for HUGSS will
get to sing with Meadows on "FFA," a song written and recorded by Meadows
and a likely candidate for becoming the FFA's national anthem. The song will
be made available through a variety of digital service providers including
iTunes, with a portion of the proceeds going to HUGSS. "This is about making
a difference in the lives of these military families and having some fun
doing it," adds Meadows. To give the song a listen, visit
www.jasonmeadows.com and look for the "click" option to hear the song on his
homepage.
HUGSS is a non-profit support group that helps families of fallen service
men and women. According to statistics, there have been more than 4,000
fathers, mothers, sons and daughters that have lost their lives in
Afghanistan and Iraq. As a result, more than 2,000 children have been left
without a parent. HUGSS provides extended care for Gold Star families beyond
what the care teams and casualty assistance officers can offer, including
acting as the Gold Star family's voice when needed, and offering special
resources, support groups, and programs for adults, teens and children,
among other services.
The term "Gold Star Family" originated with a woman, Grace Darling Seibold,
who lost her son, a pilot, during World War I. While her son was away at
war, and as a service to the community, she visited returning servicemen and
veterans in local hospitals. When her son's personal effects were delivered
to her doorstep marked "Effects of Deceased Officer, First Lieutenant George
Vaughn Seibold, Attached to the 148th Squadron, BRFC.", there was no
information regarding the events and details that led to that dark moment.
She clung to the hope that her son had simply been injured and possibly
returned to the United States without any identification.
It tooks months of inquiring before the family received official notice of
her son's death and the circumstances surrounding it, and his body was never
recovered. Working through her sorrow, she not only enhanced the lives of
many servicemen by continuing her work in the hospitals, but recognized that
self-contained grief is self-destructive. She devoted her time and energy to
extending the hand of friendship to other mothers whose sons had lost their
lives in military service in addition to her other hospital work. She
organized a group consisting solely of these special mothers, with the
purpose comforting each other, but also giving loving care to hospitalized
veterans confined in government hospitals far from home. The organization
was named after the gold star that families hung in their windows in honor
of the deceased veteran.
The Gold Star Support Center was established at the Ft. Hood, Texas military
base to create programs to address the needs of all families who suffer the
loss of a soldier. Email: GSFamily@hood.army.mil
