ALABAMA MAKES FINAL STOP AT CRACKER BARREL OLD COUNTRY STORE®
"The Last Stand" features previously unreleased live recordings from band's
final tour
LEBANON, TENN. (November 12, 2007) - Alabama, the most successful group in
the history of country music with 42 number one singles, has selected
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. ("Cracker Barrel") as the exclusive
home of its final concert tour recordings. On November 13, Cracker Barrel
will release Alabama: The Last Stand, a collection of previously unreleased
recordings made during Alabama's 2003 farewell tour.
Available at all Cracker Barrel locations and online at crackerbarrel.com,
this twelve-song, exclusive CD features several of Alabama's biggest hits,
including The Closer You Get, Old Flame, Forty Hour Week, Feels So Right and
The Fans.
"There are magical moments on this CD because these songs come straight from
my heart," said lead singer Randy Owen. "I remember seeing the lights on the
crowd when we did Feels So Right. We started the song with a piano and the
crowd went wild when we got to the melody. I feel like we owe it to our
fans to share this music with them."
Through three decades of recording and touring, Alabama sold more than 73
million records. Shortly after signing their first record deal, Alabama
charted its first number one single, beginning a string of 21 consecutive
number one hits. The band received more than 150 country music industry
honors including an unprecedented five consecutive "Entertainer Of The Year"
awards from the Academy of Country Music. In 2005, Alabama was inducted
into the Country Music Hall Of Fame.
"Having this CD at Cracker Barrel is a natural for us," said bassist Teddy
Gentry. "I remember eating breakfast at Cracker Barrel when Randy told us
we were being inducted into the Country Music Hall Of Fame. I am in Cracker
Barrel just about every day, and we're proud to have our CD at Cracker
Barrel."
The Last Stand is the fourth exclusive CD released by Cracker Barrel in
2007, following Josh Turner's Live At The Ryman, Merle Haggard's Working
Man's Journey, and Lonestar's My Christmas List. Previous Cracker Barrel
releases include Alison Krauss & Union Station, Sara Evans, Charlie Daniels,
Amy Grant and Songs Of The Year. The Alabama release further builds Cracker
Barrel's growing reputation as the home of authentic country music. Since
creating its own music label in 2003, Cracker Barrel has sold more than
three million CDs.
"Cracker Barrel has great food and I've noticed how people are always
checking out the music in the store," said guitar & fiddle player Jeff Cook.
"This is the first new record from Alabama in three years and I think it
will do very well."
"This Alabama CD continues our tradition of offering unique country music to
our guests," said Simon Turner, Cracker Barrel's Chief Marketing Officer.
"Millions of people attended Alabama concerts during the band's three
decades of touring. These songs will bring back the memories of a night
filled with great music and entertainment."
Country Entertainer Sammy Sadler Headlines "Thankful For the Coming Cure"
Concert Saturday, December 8

Sponsors include FROGGY Radio & Tennessee Valley Community Church's
'Relay for Life' Team (ACS)

Nashville, TN (November 12, 2007) - Country entertainer Sammy Sadler will
perform at the "Thankful for the Coming Cure Concert" to be held at the
Krider Performing Arts Center (500 Volunteer Drive) in Paris, TN on
Saturday, December 8. The music starts at 7 p.m., and Sadler and his band
will be performing songs from his upcoming album, including his current
chart single, "Heart Shaped Like Texas." "I hope everyone turns out to
support this event," says Sadler. "The American Cancer Society is doing some
great work, and this is a cause that I strongly believe in." The Texas
native is well known for his recent hits, "I Know A Place," "That Ole Gravel
Road" and "Hard On A Heart." (Photo by Melissa Webb)

Born in Memphis, Tennessee and raised in Texas, Sammy is soft-spoken but
intense; light-hearted yet full of faith. But most of all, Sammy Sadler is
filled with music. He enjoyed six charting singles on Evergreen Records
before a tragic shooting left him injured, and killed his friend Kevin
Hughes, in 1989's real-life "Murder on Music Row." While determined to
avoid allowing the incident to dictate his future, Sammy understands that it
has nonetheless left an indelible mark on his life, and in the way others
perceive him. "It will always be a part of who I am," he observes. "But I
survived. And I believe that there's a reason that I'm still here - and I
thank God for giving me that chance." Sammy believes his music is the
reason he's still among the living, and he'll be "paying it forward" on
December 8, as he helps raise funds for the Tennessee Valley Community
Church's 'Relay For Life' Team.

CRS-39 To Tackle Todays Hot-Button Issues PPM, Performance Royalties, Tech
Issues Central to Seminar

(Nashville, TN -- November 12th, 2008) In the constantly shifting landscape
of the Radio and Record industries, it is imperative to stay current on the
critical issues that impact your business. Attendees at Country Radio
Seminar ® 39, March 5-7 2008, will get the most pertinent and current
information on the most important challenges facing the industries today.

As the method of measuring radio audiences evolves from diary-keeping to the
Portable People Meter, a flood of new information will change the way that
radio is programmed and marketed. To help you understand what this new
development in audience measurement means to your business, CRS-39 will
feature the most comprehensive review of PPM technology on Country formatted
stations ever. The Country Format "Through The PPM Lens" panel will offer an
unprecedented view of how listeners use country radio, how frequently they
tune in, and how much audience Country shares with other formats.

Any company that seeks to impact individual consumers has recognized the
challenge of gaining and holding their attention in a rapidly fragmenting
communications environment. Radio and Record companies now compete with the
whole world of digital communications, from widespread broadband Internet
availability to the stunning increase in SMS and text messaging among
consumers. For the first time, CRS-39 attendees will have the opportunity to
explore all of the technological challenges and opportunities facing the
industry as part of the "Tech Track."

The CRS-39 Tech Track is a half-day seminar within a seminar that will
feature experts from all facets of the digital communications world who will
answer all the pressing tech questions. The "Tech 101" panel will address
general questions on any tech related topic that impacts radio and record
professionals. The "Growing Online" panel will delve more deeply into how to
create compelling web experiences for fans and listeners, and will deal with
topics that include streaming, encryption, contesting, social networking,
licensing issues and much more.

The world of text messaging will be addressed in the "TXT-WTF?" panel.
Experts from the world of text-messaging will discuss the use of this wildly
popular new technology in on-air contesting, marketing station events,
database expansion and non-traditional revenue building. Cell phone
technology has reached saturation levels in our society, and the use of text
messaging grows exponentially each year. Learn the basics that will help you
employ this technology to grow your brand into the future.

The Tech Track will conclude with the "Boom or Bust" panel, where the true
impact of recent and current technological innovations will be assessed and
discussed. Topics like social-networking, user-generated content, blogging,
HD Radio, and Satellite radio will be examined, along with any
up-to-the-minute technological trends that emerge in the future.

Agenda Committee Chairman Bob Richards of WFMS Indianapolis stated, "After
attending the CRS-39 Tech Track you will not only have a better
understanding of the latest tech trends and tools, but you will also walk
away with great ideas to make those tools work for you & your station."

One issue of particular interest to radio and record companies is the
proposed Master Performance Royalty that will impact the both groups
profoundly. John Rich and George Jones, both founding artists of MusicFIRST,
a group dedicated to obtaining royalties for the broadcast of master
recording will be panelists at CRS-39. John Rich will be part of the
"Raising The Bar" panel where industry leaders including SonyBMG's Joe
Galante, Marc Chase of Clear Channel Communications, Big Machine's Scott
Borchetta, and Charlie Cook of Cumulus will discuss the most pressing and
controversial issues of the day.

"The Country Radio Broadcasters will provide plenty of opportunities during
CRS-39 for Country radio and the music community to dialogue on the issues
that face our industries," said CRB Executive Director Ed Salamon. "This is
the annual opportunity for diverse voices to be heard and for 'growth
through sharing' for everyone who chooses to participate."

Early Bird Registration of $499.00 is available through November 30th and
allows access to all CRS sanctioned events. Complete listings of panels and
confirmed panelists can be found at the Country Radio Broadcasters website
http://www.crb.org. As always, the agenda as listed is subject to
modification or change as speakers and panelists are confirmed to
participate.
