CMA Close Up Profiles Country-Rockin' Trio LANTANA In April/May Issue
Nashville, TN (April 9, 2007) -- LANTANA, the bluesy country-rockin' trio
from Texas, is profiled in the April/May issue of CMA Close Up magazine.
Native Texans Biz Haddock, Karol Ann DeLong and Canadian-turned-Texan Dalene
Richelle performed for CMA staffers a few months ago, and that intimate
acoustic performance, along with the success of their debut CD, UNBRIDLED
(BGM Records), have earned them a place in the "Debut Spotlight."
The profile brings to light the nature of the trio's distinctive style of
"Tri-Polar" Country that has brought them so much interest - from fans and
the media alike. Dalene, Karol Ann. and Biz each bring different interests,
musical backgrounds and tastes to the group, and their individuality is
evident in the answers they give in the "Spotlight." For example, when
asked to name one song that they would secretly like to cover, each had a
dramatically different response: Biz called dibs on "Don't Mess Around With
Jim" (Jim Croce); Dalene picked "Sweet Child of Mine" (Guns and Roses), and
Karol Ann's choice was "At This Moment," by Billy Vera & The Beaters. You
get the idea.
The group's two singles, "Country As A City Girl Can Be" and "Let Somebody
Love You," have kept them on the Texas Music and Music Row charts for
months; they've played before sell-out crowds at the Houston Livestock Show
and Rodeo, impressed audiences during Country Radio Seminar-38, and recently
entertained the troops at Holloman Air Force Base(Alamogordo, NM). The
future looks bright for LANTANA; expect to see more high-profile coverage in
the U.S., as well as international publications, along with appearances at
COUNTRY THUNDER FESTIVAL (Texas), the Gaylord Texan and CMA Music Festival
(Nashville).
UNBRIDLED can be purchased at Wal*Mart, Borders, Hastings and online at your
favorite e-tailers. For the latest new, hi-res jpegs and much more, log on

CRACKER BARREL OLD COUNTRY STORE, INC. CREATES MUSIC PARTNERSHIP WITH GRAMMY
& ACM NOMINEE JOSH TURNER
Partnership includes tour sponsorship & exclusive CD to be recorded live at
historic Ryman Auditorium
LEBANON, TENN. - (April 5, 2007) Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc.
("Cracker Barrel") is honored to announce an official partnership with one
of country music's fastest rising stars, Grammy and Academy of Country Music
nominee Josh Turner. This partnership includes a tour sponsorship and
exclusive CD to be recorded live during Josh Turner's April 19th concert at
Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium, known worldwide as "The Mother Church
of Country Music." The April 19th concert, Turner's first full-length show
at the Ryman, will kick off Cracker Barrel's sponsorship of his summer
concert tour.
"I'm excited to be taking Cracker Barrel on the road with me this year,"said
Josh Turner. "The band and I never get tired of seeing a Cracker Barrel sign
off the side of the interstate. When you're on the road, it's nice to know
that you can pull into any Cracker Barrel and feel like you're in your mama's
kitchen, waiting on your favorite meal. I am pretty sure my band and I have
all the Cracker Barrel exits memorized between here and South Carolina."
Embraced by fans and critics alike, Turner's signature baritone voice has
earned him comparisons to legends George Jones and Johnny Cash. Cracker
Barrel secured a partnership with Turner because of the artist's great fit
with Cracker Barrel and country music. Prior to the tour sponsorship and CD
deal, Turner was the "voice" of Cracker Barrel's Christmas holiday
advertising campaign. The commercials aired on radio stations throughout the
United States.
"Josh Turner seems right at home at Cracker Barrel," said Simon Turner,
Chief Marketing Officer at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. "Our
guests enjoy country music and Josh has a voice and style that connect
generations of country music fans. We believe this live CD will be an
excellent addition to our exclusive line of music."
Josh Turner's performance at the historic Ryman Auditorium will be the first
concert in his Cracker Barrel-sponsored tour. Cracker Barrel Old Country
Store Presents Josh Turner will continue April 20th in Wabash, Indiana.
Other concert stops include Louisville, Kentucky; Nashville, Tennessee;
Richland Center, Wisconsin; Montgomery, Alabama & Columbia, South Carolina.
During the Ryman show, Josh will sing his hits as well as personal favorites
that have not appeared on any of his previous releases. The resulting CD
will be a collection of songs performed at the Ryman. Scheduled for release
later this summer, the CD will be available exclusively at all Cracker
Barrel Old Country Store? locations and online at crackerbarrel.com.
"I am looking forward to working with Cracker Barrel on my first live album
that will be recorded at the historic Ryman Auditorium," said Turner. "This
is definitely going to be one of the most memorable nights of my career. It's
gonna be fun."
Turner's sophomore release on MCA Nashville, YOUR MAN, debuted at #1 on the
Billboard Top Country Albums Chart and was recently certified double
platinum. Songs from this latest release have earned three ACM Award
nominations. His #1 smash "Would You Go With Me" is nominated for both "Song
Of The Year" as well as "Single Record Of The Year." While his current
single, a collaboration with Dr. Ralph Stanley and members of Diamond Rio,
"Me And God," is nominated for ACM "Vocal Event Of The Year." The two-time
Grammy nominee was also the #2 best-selling country male artist of 2006.
With this partnership, Cracker Barrel continues to build its impressive
collection of exclusive CDs. The most recent release, Songs Of The Year,
features new recordings by today's top country performers including Trace
Adkins, Trisha Yearwood, Dierks Bentley & George Jones. Cracker Barrel has
also released exclusive CDs by Alison Krauss & Union Station, Charlie
Daniels, Amy Grant and Sara Evans.
Tickets for Josh Turner's Ryman concert are currently on sale at
www.ryman.com and all Ticketmaster locations. Tickets are available for
$29.50 and $24.50.

BAND AGAINST MS FOUNDATION HIRES NEW DIRECTOR
Country music star CLAY WALKER pleased to name Kyle Frederick, Director of
BAMS
NASHVILLE, TN - When country music singer CLAY WALKER decided to make his
private battle with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) public by forming Band Against
MS Foundation (BAMS) in 2003, he had no idea that his association with the
disease and determination to raise awareness as well as funds toward MS
research would produce such significant results. The growth of the
organization has led down an exciting path with the addition of Kyle
Frederick to the BAMS team as Director of Operations.
"By continuing to fund research, Band against MS Foundation gives those
living with Multiple Sclerosis hope for the future. We are sincerely
grateful for the individuals, groups and businesses that contribute to the
Foundation's success and recognize that they are at the core of our
endeavor," says Frederick. "Additionally, I am personally grateful that Clay
has charged me with steering his Foundation. He has proven to be the
consummate example of how one overcomes adversity through sheer
determination and fortitude in his battle with MS."
Frederick moved to Nashville in 1980 to pursue career as a guitarist and has
since toured US, Canada, and Europe with various nationally acclaimed
recording artists. He released a Pop/Rock solo LP in 1991, and left his solo
career when he was originally hired by Clay Walker in 1993 as acoustic
guitar player/band leader. His ventures then led him to the role of Walker's
tour manager, publicist and co-manager. Thus, it's only fitting that
following a stint with SHeDAISY 2005 and 2006 as manger, Frederick is back
with Walker and excited to be named Director, Band Against MS Foundation.
Upon being named Director, Frederick has held a benefit concert and live
auction in Monterey, CA and led the organization toward a generous $100,000
contribution to University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston at UT
Medical Center. Frederick plans to lead on-going awareness campaign and
fundraising activities with a forthcoming planned donation and ceremony with
the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) Lone Star Chapter in coming
months. In addition, he will be overseeing the launch of a new BAMS website
this spring.
To contact Kyle Frederick, Director of Band Against MS Foundation, you may
write to 2409 21st Avenue S. Suite 102, Nashville, TN 37212 or phone
615-297-8875. For additional information and updates, be sure to visit
