Album Review - Stereophonics - Live from Dakota
Album Review - Stereophonics - Live from Dakota
By Tracy M. Rogers
Nearly 10 years after the formation of the Stereophonics, guitarist
Kelly Jones and company are at the height of their popularity with
critics and fans alike. Dedicated to the latter, the band's two-CD,
20-track live set Live from Dakota captures the Stereophonics at the
peak of its 2005 Language. Sex. Violence. Other? tour. Featuring tracks
that span the collective's nine-year career, Live from Dakota is a
hybrid of music -- with visceral heavy metal guitars, crisp punk-infused
drums, and Jones' wailing cockney sneer -- that is equally inspired by
Radiohead, Metallica, and Oasis.
