Woo Hoo! Finally completed TWW set!
As subject - I have now completed my set of TWW DVD's (all Region 2 - I
know, I know, but I was given season 5 as a gift amd I'm one of those sad
people who, once they have something in one format, has to complete the set
in the same format, which explains why I have Buffy in Region 1 and Angel in
Region 2!)
Amazon has pre-orders on S60, so I'll be watching until they do a box set
special again - next step, Sports Night...

I gave up and ordered SN and S60 from amazon.com. With the current
exchange rates, they worked out at less than £25 each. Both are well
worth it (it's a good job all my DVD players are multi region).

I'm off to NY next week to see Mr Sorkin's latest offering in the theatre.

That is so, so unfair... :-(((

But you inspired me to google, and this struck me as one of the best
articles I've seen about AS - so thanks...!

I do admire you making it last so long... all the more rewarding for that,
I'm sure.

Can you remind me what the differences are between R1 & R2 - is it "just"
the extras? Different "live debate"? (Sorry - I'm sure this was explained
here a year of three back - but I don't recall the detail).

TIA

hey I thought you couldn't buy dvds off Amazon.com

oh the different from r1 and r2 in relation to West Wing is that r1
has great extras but r2 has none

We can - I've bought quite a few R1 discs in the past. I think there are
restrictions on downloads as opposed to physical discs.

Not really. The stage hands are on strike, so I didn't get to see the
show :-( It's unlikely that I'll be able to afford to go back any time
soon, either.

about to go on strike

Pretty much. I think the Actors Guild are due for contract renewals next
summer and are hoping for a decent outcome to the Writers' negotiations to
help their cause. A lot of actors are supporting the writers at the
moment. On shows that have stopped filming due to the lack of scripts, a
lot of the crews have been laid off and the actors have been told that
they won't be paid, but neither can they look for work elsewhere.

I believe the stagehands and producers are talking again on Monday.

And the news writers are discussing strike action.

see now that just fun, we not paying you but you can't look
elsewhere.
Saying that if you working as say a cameraman, wouldn't thought you
could take that skill and use elsewhere with ease
