Hi folks,  I like to watch Euro news and BBC news. I have noticed just
latley that the reception is very poor with picture breaking up.  I
looked at Fox news is wa just ok.  I then looked at Sky news and it it
was perfect and clear.  What am I to deduce from that. I was going to
call in a fitter to check out the system but after watching Sky news I
thought perhaps not.  What do you lot think.

There are several satellites more or less in the same location, however they
aren't all in the exact same location, then there's one that is at 28.5e
(Eutelsat Eurobird) whereas the SES Astra ones are at 28.2e, so you are
probably picking up OK signal from some of them, but not Eurobird, this
could be due to the dish not quite aligned correctly.

well,

coincidence or not: for a few days now, i also noticed poor signal. the 
bbc-channels and UKTV-channels are totally gone. fox news is still fine.

some channels have lots of artifacts. however: signal quality is not 
unnusually low. just weird.
