Sky+ connections
My Sky+ box is set up so that the terrestrial aerial lead is connected to
the "aerial in" socket on the box and then from the "rf out 1" to the tv.
Is there any reason why the aerial lead cannot be connected directly to the
tv rather than via the Sky+ box please?

Assuming you're not watching Sky+ through RF on your TV, none that I can
see.

Re: Sky+ connections
And assuming that you do not have the system wired for viewing sky in
other rooms.
Many, many times, I go to houses where Sky installers have done this
for no reason whatsoever.
