Flicking through the channels Tuesday night I noticed that Morse on ITV3 
was being shown with Audio Description playing. Pressing help brought up 
the box which said that AD was unavailable. I assume this was just an 
error and the wrong soundtrack was being put through.  They don't do 
this regularly (Like signing on BBC) do they.

ITV3 is required (by Ofcom) to provide audio description, but if the
box says 'unavailable' then they must not be transmitting a separate
audio description soundtrack. In which case, no other choice but to
transmit it on main programme audio... but it's a ridiculous way to do
it. Surely ITV can't be THAT stretched for bandwidth that they can't
spare an audio channel? Maybe it's a temporary problem of some kind?
