I can't find the thread at the moment but I seem to rememeber reading
recently (probably on usenet) that someone had bought this, then phoned
Sky on the number given and the person dealing with it didn't know
anything about this particular deal.
I pointed this deal out to a relative who has terrible TV reception and
can't receive Freeview and the install process went fairly smoothly for
them a few months ago, they had to pay postage at the time from Dixions
for the cardboard box containing the Sky reference number but that seems
to be dropped now.

Excellent. Thanks for that. I've just forwarded it to a relative who
keeps dithering about Sky and only got a Freeview box relatively
recently.

Not 'worried', they realise not everyone wants or is able to pay monthly, so
this is what they are doing to access that market.

Freeview & this package are complimentary as while there may be 4 x the number of channels on
satellite there are many available on Freeview that are subscription only on satellite(More4 E4.
There are also some good channels on satellite that are unavailable on Freeview (Performance, some
old movie channels).

Be Warned!!
Someone on another forum got the christmas special offer (pretty much
identical to this) and wjen he tried to cancel the 2 mixes as the 6
months was coming to an end, he was told he couldn't as the minimum
contract is 12 months.
Lot's of very nasty conversations with Sky and Sky's debt collectors
before he got it sorted - and his dad's christmas pressie had lost
some of it's lustre :=((
Also, I did hear that Sky had withdrawn this, but maybe it's back on
again.

Asda also do this offer. I work at Asda and I got the deal for £37.50 but
the normal cost is £75

"Many" is really pushing it. UKTV History is probably the only other one
even worth mentioning.

Asda are doing this offer. But their leaftlet says TMF is included in the
free channels, which obviously it's not!

Yes, it was withdrawn, but it is now back again. Apparently the initial
offer was a trial and, from the comments, they messed up quite a bit when
the trial was withdrawn.
