Star Trek: Of Gods & Men part one....
....is now available to watch online.

[it's OK....no story spoilers]

Well I'm impressed for one. Apart from a couple of ham actors (namely the
guys from Star Trek New Voyages who obviously played the "you use my
Enterprise bridge set, I get a part in your film!" card), the acting was
good. Tim Russ (Voyager) and Cirroc Lofton (DS9) were easily the most
believable parts - two actors I'm particularly fond of anyway.

The story left me wanting to find out what happens next - which is always a
good sign - and the special effects were *very* impressive when you consider
the budget...or lack of. The effects in this first instalment are
indistinguishable from the early stuff I caught clips of. They're certainly
the best effects in any fan film I've ever watched, and wouldn't look out of
place on the TV.

Finally I get to see fan produced Trek that can hold its head up high (I
hated the cheese fest that was 'ST: New Voyages', for a start).

All in all, well worth the wait. Roll on part two. And thank you, Mr Russ!
:)
