How many episodes of ST are there?
We all have our favourite series or favourite episodes of ST but has
anyone worked out how many episodes of Star Trek there are just out of
interest. I mean counting the series TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY and ENT there
must be quiet a few.

The exact number depends on whether you count feature-length stories
that were originally aired continuously (i.e. most of the series
premières and finales, "Way of the Warrior", "Dark Frontier") as two
separate episodes. If you do count them as just one episode each, I make
the counts as follows:

TOS: 80
TNG: 176
DS9: 173
VOY: 170
ENT: 97

In total that's 696. If you do count those stories as two separate
episodes, the total goes up to 704. The animated series also had 22
episodes if you want to include that.

I would.
They have separate names for each half.

I only have TOS and DS9 on DVD but would like to have Voyager and
enterprise, so was wondering how many episodes I would have to get.
Suppose I should be thinking in terms of seasons to know how many box
sets I need to get. Going by episodes Voyager should have as many box
sets as DS9 and ENT should be just about equal to TOS.
Sorry to take so long to reply but I have had trouble getting an
Internet connection.

Four series of enterprise (£35 each) , and seven of voyager (£33 each)

I was eyeing up the DS9 and TNG sets at 18 quid a go

I bet you have them on video, though?

A bargain.

I have a full set of DS9 on original VHS (cost me £80 for the lot).
TNG I had them all recorded off the tv but I think they went to freecycle.
Voyager I had some originals and some recorded.
Ent I had all as downloads on a pile of disks somewhere.

Indeed.
I can't see them ever getting cheaper

Thanks for the heads up on the prices. Lets me know how much damage to
do to the credit card.
