Dave, that post could going to leave people confused.
1) The CBC declined to fund or buy Torchwood S2. Torchwood S2 has no
Canadian funding. As we know from YOUR reviews, SPACE bought Torchwood S2.
As we know from SPACE's message boards, the odds are that SPACE will buy
Torchwood S3. Torchwood's place on Canadian TV seems stable now.
2) I've never heard it satisfactorily explained whether the CBC bought
Doctor Who S4. Doesn't matter though - the CBC is airing Doctor Who S4. If
CBC backs out in future, another Canadian network will step in, because the
potential of Doctor Who in Canada is known.

Seems to be a similar trend.
Speculation: the CBC cannot pay for either series because the government
did not allocate the funds. Why? Because the Current CON government
is aimed at guttingthe CBC.

I can't stand Harper but I hate...hate...hate that the Liberals made
Stephanie Dion their leader!!!!!
Also given that my freedom has already been stepped on back in the
1980s by the Moron-ey conservatives by their anti-sex laws and that
prick Rob Nicholson most recently, the damage has already been done.
The man I want to stop is Stephanie Dion.
{As a former member of the RCAirCadets and the regular Forces...if
you won't fight for my freedom...why should I fight for yours?} So my
vote will be a pissed-off[protest] vote for Harper. Get rid of
Stephanie Dion then I'll consider going back to the Liberal fold.

We have Doctor Who on CBC. the Space Channel took Torchwood. Now all
Canadians Vote Harper out of office today !!!

I didn't know there was an Independent running in my riding....
