LOL :D
...seriously though..I'm confused....I thought David Tennant was going to be
in the three 2009 specials as the Doctor....and possibly beyond that.....so
what is with this regeneration cliff hanger? :/

Did you notice the very obvious "ooh look" shot of the doctor's hand in
the jar right next to the console at the start? Can't say I've noticed
it there this series so far, but the camera actually paused on it as if
you were meant to notice it. I predict that someone lobs said hand at
the Doc in mid-regeneration and he somehow regenerates back into
himself, the DNA from his own hand allowing the new regeneration to take
on the previous regeneration's properties.....
There's no way the BBC would be able to keep an actual regeneration and
a new lead actor secret this long.

He's going to regenerate into RTD. That's why Russell had to stop doing the
writing.

I reckon, what with the, "what are you" and the "you are something new"
lines towards donna and the repeated references to, "I'm just a temp" (TEMP
WHAT?) she'll be the key to the next episode. Maybe it's the bee thing -
maybe the bees defeat the daleks or maybe donna is a kebab. Maybe I don't
know what i'm on about. As far as the 11th time lord goes, i'd bet that's
some time off yet. There is a trailer to the next episode tomorrow on bbc 1
just before 1pm.

I'd hope the BBC isn't stupid enough to reveal the regeneration.
I'd like to see him regenerate only for a RESET at the end....as much as I
don't want a RESET I also don't want a new doctor yet and don't see how they
can get out of it now...

rewatching the episode my new RESET theory is that the key thingy that
Martha has is the key to unlock the "Time Lock" that sealing the time war,
unlocking it will bring back Gallifrey and the time lords and erase Davros'
new Dalek empire. This would be my preferable way to reset...

It really would pay some folks to remember that RTD was the very man
responsible for bringing back Doctor Who to our screens, keeping it there,
and even making it successful enough to be shown PRIMETIME Saturday night.
Recap; British sci-fi.....primetime....Saturday night. Now if you'd have
asked me was this possible prior to the modern re-imagining of Doctor Who,
I'd have said no - and if truth be told, so would most of us here.
But in the British way, he's been built up enough now.....and it's time to
knock him down again. He is, plain and simple, a victim of success.
Well, it's either that or there is more homophobia around than I'd like to
accept. Ooh ek, I feel one of my famous football analogies coming on now;
Yes, it reminds me of the closet Nazi Chelsea fans that hounded Avram Grant
from his job after taking them to the Champions League final with a superior
win/lose ratio in the league than Jose Mourinho had.
Gay...Jewish....whatever....sadly, doing your job well just isn't enough for
some people.
When RTD steps down and hands over the reigns, I for one will be giving him
a virtual pat on the back, to thank him for bringing back one of my all time
TV heroes.... kicking boring, nasty game shows out of the Saturday primetime
slot, sending Ant & f*cking Dec running for the hills and installing the
good Doctor and his timeless villains in their place. Thank God for Russell
T Davies......God speed, Steven Moffat.....Long live Doctor Who.

Please do not forget that River Song know the Doctor as Doctor 10 NOT as
Doctor 11 so they is something going on with the Regeneration and its final
outcome. If I had to guess it would be that he ends up looking the same (so
David can continue to play the role in E13, the 2008 Xmas show, and the 2009
specials).

RTD had been asking to do Dr Who for a long time before...it was Heggesy
that persuaded the beeb to make a new Dr Who but she knew of RTD`s desires
and had him in mind from the outset. The BBC had been head hunting RTD for a
while but he said he`d only be interested in working for them if it were a
new series of Who. He is hugely responsible for the return, creation and
success of Dr Who in the 21st century...like it or lump it.

Don`t be such a twat...since Ranieri left they`ve won 2 premier league
titles for the first time in over half a century. How the hell is that a
disaster???

The magic has been back for the last 4 years...and I think Tom isn`t the
only one that thinks JNT was at least partly to blame for the ruin of Dr Who
in the 80`s.

If you actually watch the damn show instead of moaning about episodes you`ve
never even seen perhaps you`d know! She was a major character in 2 episodes
this year.

Indeed. Some people want to rewrite history. RTD is not God, but he
has put DW back where it belongs. BBC1 - Saturday evening.

Chelsea were a disaster for Arsenal once Ranieri left, as when Jose came
they replaced the Goners as top club in London!!!

JNT was in charge then, so he has to shoulder most of the blame for that
era. That's the way life is. The buck stops at the man in charge!
Likewise, Doctor Who is a success now, and has been since it's return,
so RTD has to be given credit.

She was the Archeologist in Episodes 8 and 9 (the Library 2-parter). These

You're spot on.....how can anyone deny the magic is back? Not only do the
viewing figures attest to the fact, but I've seen kids literally hiding
behind cushions watching it, as I did myself as a child. I've seen Doctor
Who toys make it into the Christmas top-ten selling toys list. I've heard
people talking about it on the train on a Monday morning - are we to believe
these are the hallmarks of an unmitigated disaster? Perhaps in the minds of
the few people who have jumped aboard the now rather trendy anti-RTD
bandwagon, and the few idiots that climbed aboard it from day one because
there was a rude innuendo in Doctor Who.....or heaven forbid, it had a gay
person in it.
The fact I now read people trying to convince us that RTD wasn't the man
responsible for its success doesn't surprise me one bit.....I saw this all
coming ages ago.

Do you actually watch the show....or just presume that it was bad and moan
on the internet regardless? :/
She was a major character in what were widely considered the best two
episodes of this series so far. She was played by Alex Kingston.
