BBC1 - Criminal Justice (discussion re this show, not Wimbledon)
This was absolutely superb. I have no idea if he did it or not.
Wouldn't that be a good twist if we found out he did, but gets off?

I can't even remember the last time I saw such suspensful drama. Well
done the BBC.

There was a similar BBC serial a few years ago about the trial of an
Asian schoolboy accused of killing the school bully with a sword. In
that particular case, there was less doubt in the viewer's mind that the
defendant was guilty - but he got off.

It was on ITV.

Was it?

In retrospect, it seems too good to have been on ITV.

Trial & Retribution on ITV has been every bit as good as this at times.

And generally without the preaching to the gallery bits that make this
so hard to watch. Why would Cynical Lawyers nos 1 2 & 3 be inclined to
broadcast exactly what their devious plan is to everyone in earshot?
Most glaringly of all how did Eczema Lawyer get anywhere near the
witness box in a case he was no longer involved with to wish the
defendant well (but NUDGE a lot better with me mate, cos I got a
allergy type infliction like wot you got)

It's an infuriating mixture of complete bollocks with the occasional
bit where you do get a sharp sense of what it might be like to be
inside.

And isn't it obvious it was the girl's father wot dun it?

PS I think stripping it across the week after Wimbledon is just a
clever way of throwing it away - because they knew no-one would have
come back after week 1 (let alone week 2) if they'd actually shown it
that way.

I'm a bit confused (mainly cos I missed a bit in ep 1 between what my
PVR was recording on time shift and what I then caught live when it cut
out and I quickly changed over) - they were clearly having fun in
Brighton (you can tell by the railings) but then the action took place
in the arsehole of Essex? what happened?

Nevr mind the railings - you could tell it was Brighton by the Pier.

And which bit of TAoE looks that much like Canary Wharf?
