BBC1 - criminal justice
If the tennis match is over running - then put in on the fucking red
button ya useless cunts .

For even your own bbc website says that at least 90% of uk homes now has
some sort of digital service .

Wot a fucking bunch of useless wasters you are if you honestly and
genuinly think the people who changed channels to watch the start of
'criminal justice' are even the slightest bit fucking interested in two
cunts playing fucking tennis .

FOAD. It sounds like it's been a belter of a match, and I'm not the world's
greatest tennis fan. For Murray to come back from two sets down, win a tie
break and then take the next two sets...amazing.

38 minutes later than planned criminal justice finally started .

Well fuck the bbc - i've just turned the tv off and wont be watching any
of 'criminal justice' as any interest in the 5 part series has just
evaporated into thin air .

Can i apply for a refund ? .

Of course i fucking cant - all due to the unique way the fucking bbc is
fucking funded .

For while viewers might expect a snooker final to overrun on bbc2 - isnt
it fucking expected for bbc1 to stay on fucking schedual and show what
they fucking promised .

If only 10% of uk homes dont have some sort of digital service - then
isnt that the minoritys fault for refusing to adapt and accept new
technology that means little more than buying a poxy £30 freeview box
and a fucking scart cable .

IF .....

The fucking bastard whore cunt bbc cares more about the tiny minority
rather than the vast majority - then why doesnt the bbc do a tv show
about php scripting .

Can it really be true the bastard cunt fucking whore bbc only cares
about the minority when it fucking suits them to fucking do so .

Id assumed when it said knife crime, they actually meant like knives :)
not the selection of machetes, meat cleavers etc they seemed to have on
show.

its like Mick Dundee had turned up and gone "call that a knife mate, this
is a knife" and gets out a medieval broadsword,

Because it was put back for 40 minutes for a fantastic tennis match, you
would deprive yourself of what promises to be a truly terrific drama? How
sad you must be.

CJ was dark, worrying, beautifully written, great television - roll on
tomorrow.

And Andy Murray was great - roll on his next match (Wednesday?).

My Sky+ box caught all of "Criminal Justice", so I was lucky.

But I wonder how many people effectively missed it because they had set
a video-recorder timer to record it? Even adding a whole half-hour on to
the "end time" would not have been sufficient.

The Digifusion PVR (also set for the programme as a belt-and-braces
option) ddn't record all of it - it stopped at the "appointed time" as
displayed in the Freeview EPG.

Indeed it was - for those lucky enough not to have missed tonight's
crucial episode. Otherwise, it's probably going to be pointless for the
rest of the week.

> And Andy Murray was great - roll on his next match (Wednesday?).

It would have been more reasonable to shift the tennis to BBC3 (or one
of the red button options).

I'm sure the tennis match was fantastic .

But its been saturation coverage and unless you intend saying its only
tennis fans who pay the bbc licence fee - then dont other viewers have
the same rights .

If the bbc didnt think putting it on the red button was a good idea then
there was a crap program on bbc2 they could easily have postponed for a
week and as others on here have suggested moved the match over to bbc2 .

What if it was a fantastic motorcycle race that overran on bbc1 , Do you
think the bbc would have made the same decision ? .

The point being - that the bbc obviously class some people licence fee
money much more than some others .

I think it's fair to say that you could count on the fingers of one hand
the people who were seriously inconvenienced by the late TX of Criminal
Justice last night. The overnights show that the audience for the match
peaked at 9.15pm (when CJ would have been on) at 10.4m, a 43.5% share - as
a comparison, Corrie couldn't manage 8m.

CJ wasn't cancelled, just postponed for 40 minutes. In fact, if anything,
I enjoyed it more by having to wait for it! On top of the excitement of
the Murray match, it made for a great evening's (technically-)free
entertainment.

> What if it was a fantastic motorcycle race that overran on bbc1 , Do you
> think the bbc would have made the same decision ? .

Motorcycle-racing is very much a minority activity, whereas Wimbledon
fortnight is a respected, popular and hallowed sporting institution
world-wide. It's hard to compare the two. If I was a motorcycle-racing
fan, I would certainly not expect programmes on a terrestrial channel to
be delayed to accommodate a race.

Hence the invention of PDC, available for the last 14 years on VHS
recorders. As long as the teletext signal is decent enough (and this is
where Dom will chip in as his wasn't but most people's was), and you set
the correct start time, PDC works really well.

>The Digifusion PVR (also set for the programme as a belt-and-braces

Yep. For Freeview PVRs, avoid the ones that don't support "Freeview
Playback". AFAIK only the Toppy and Humax do at the moment.

There has been a curious timegap between analogue recording using PDC
compensating for late scheduling changes (available from 1994 onwards), to
the launch of Freeview Playback last year. Anyone "upgrading" to DTT has
had to suffer the last ten years from 1998-2007 of a DTT recording
solution being inferior to a 1994 VHS VCR because of the lack of Freeview
Playback.

>It would have been more reasonable to shift the tennis to BBC3 (or one

Quite. Sporting events are far less likely to be time-shifted than the
