Chart Commentary 5/7/08

-------
After an 8 week climb, Ne-Yo claims his 2nd #1, but on such low sales
that he's unlikely to last long.

Next Week
---------
Singles
-------
I'd like to think *someone* could overtake Ne-Yo, but I see nothing in
the new releases in the way of strong challengers, so he could retain
spot with only 20k-ish sales.
A sparse week for new releases.
Top 5 : Jordin Sparks (#2) Busta Rhymes, Ironik
Top 10 : Ting Tings (SUALMG)
Top 20 : Basshunter
Top 30 : Goldfrapp
Top 40 : Estelle, Ultrabeat/Darren Styles
Any other possibilities?
AIUI, Dizzee Rascal is out on downloads, and some people seem to think
it'll do really well. As always with rap though, I am totally unable to
fathom the appeal, so I can't predict it going any higher than T20.
Albums
------
Still can't see anything to challenge Coldplay.
Top 10 NE : Dirty Pretty Things
Top 20 NE : Motley Crue, MCR (Live), Subways
Others : 3 Doors Down, David Bowie, Eddie Grant, Seth Lakeman, Toyah,
X-Press 2
