Glasto - Neil Diamond
That's the way to do it! Watch and learn, you other so-called

I saw a bit of it - but isn't it all a bit tongue in cheek ironic?
Aren't there meant to be big modern groups on there for the young hip
people or somesuch? Or are Glastonbury goers all 40 - 50 something?

Jay-Z??
Isn't that what all the fuss was about?
Jay-Z and Neil Diamond on the same bill (well sort of) how much more
diverse do you want it :)

I think that's probably the point - something for everyone. The naysayers
go on about Jay-Z shouldn't be on, but why not? And the Sunday afternoon
'heritage' slot has become traditional now - last year Shirley Bassey,
year before, I think, Tom Jones.

Diamond was just feckin' brilliant. All the mikes packed up at one stage
and the band carried on with just the two drummers, until it was fixed.
Amy Winelake and all the kiddie bands need to learn a few lessons from the
real pros. 'I'm A Believer' was just so tight and cool - absolutely
fantastic!

Perhaps you weren't aware that he wrote a lot of songs for the Monkees?
