SPOILERS FOR NEIGHBOURS, 08-12 DEC'08 (5542-5546)


Upset by Steve's ultimatum, Nicola decides to go, but upon departing
with Bronte - a stray dog she'd rescued - they're both hit by a speeding
Donna, who simply sees an injured animal in the road. Giving up on Libby,
Lucas tries his luck with Elle. Bridget & Declan stop talking to Mickey,
making him stop blackmailing them. As Lucas illegally repairs the police
car, and Steve treats Bronte, Miranda worriedly phones her missing sister,
unaware that Nicola lies unconscious & unseen in roadside bushes.

Investigating Nicola's disappearance, Sgt.Freedman is short with Paul
but flirts with Rebecca. Daniel & Stephanie help Libby keep perspective
on a tricky first day as Senior Head. Once Nicola is found and rushed to
hospital, Jarrod has sharp words for Steve about his attitude to her. As
Rebecca & Matt discuss the joys of bringing up teenagers, a jealous Paul
gets Elle to run a background check on the man. Ringo tries to make Donna
own up to the accident, so she threatens to claim he was the driver.

Ringo makes Donna talk to her dad, who is aghast at how their teacher's
brother helped them to cover up. Tyler is impressed by Rachel's selfless
attempt to refine Sienna's singing. Aggressively warning Lucas to keep his
mouth shut, Matt smashes the replacement headlamp to swap the glass shards
with evidence from the accident. After Sienna's first gig, Logan is most
grateful to Rachel. As Lucas finds Donna fretting over Nicola in hospital,
they're accosted by a suspicious Paul, but the Parkers shoo them away.

Tyler asks Rachel to sing backing vocals, then Zeke amplifies her voice
over Sienna's. Sensing a scoop, Elle gets the dirt from Lucas by revealing
she fancies him. When Logan tries to kiss Sienna, she realises that's why
she was picked for the band, and quits. Elle convinces Donna that if she
confesses, the Parkers will merely be relieved, and her dad will not stop
loving her. Though Rachel overhears Tyler angrily telling Logan that she
is just a kid, he still manages to persuade her to join the band.

At the police station, Sgt.Freedman stops Donna by reminding everyone
that his daughter made a false statement about the firebug. Elle scoffs at
art photography until she learns Lucas is the artist. Mindful of Steve's
trial, Bridget talks Ringo into warning Matt that he's making a mistake -
only for Donna to watch in horror as her father roughs the boy up. Haunted
by her affair with Lucas, Daniel avoids intimacy with Libby. Donna reports
Matt to the authorities, who arrest him for falsifying evidence.
