We now know that "Neighbours" will be moving to Channel Five much
earlier than anyone expected. If all goes according to plan (hah!)
the BBC shows should end with episode 5330 on Friday 8th February,
for Five to begin with episode 5331 on Monday 11th February. This
is very strange, since TV shows are usually sold in seasons, and
as you can see below, the 2007 season ended 35 episodes later.

Five promise to make the viewing experience as normal as possible
for the fans, with new episodes at 1:45pm, and an evening repeat
at 5:30pm. Many other programmes have been shuffled about to make
this happen. There'll be further showings, including an omnibus.


SPOILERS FOR NEIGHBOURS, 24-28 MAR'08 (5361-5365) - SEASON FINALE


Janae is annoyed to find Janelle has put the house up for sale without
telling her. Marco admits how he's merely been flat-sitting, and now the
owner is returning. Cadets Elle & Riley defy Brad to start investigating
illegal dance parties. Darren begins repairs to Janae's garage, in return
for her working on his van. Carmella considers asking Marco to move in,
making Oliver fear he'll be pushed out of his baby's life. Libby & Darren
seem to be reconciling, except she doesn't want to go home with him.

Though Angus finds a romantic gift in his desk, anger turns to worry upon
learning that Mrs.Kennedy, whom he's substituting, is Rachel's step-mother.
Jessica blames Taylah for a DANCE PARTY SHAME article in the paper, as her
dad's the editor. Carmella reassuring Oliver makes Marco think again. After
Angus accuses Rachel of being childish, Taylah warns him that the gift was
Jessica's. Both Marco & the Parkers make plans to buy #26. Angus apologises
to Rachel, but insists they cannot be together - witnessed by Jessica.

Jessica's constant hinting alarms Rachel. Glad that Libby wants to stay,
Susan & Karl keep out of her fight with Darren. As Ringo, Declan & Zeke
look forward to Jessica & Taylah's next party, good-girl Bridget asks her
parents' permission. Worried by the Parkers' plans, Janae shares her woes
with Darren. Miranda & Steve join forces with Karl, Susan, Frazer, Paul &
Rebecca to ban the teens from the dance, so 'hopeless liar' Zeke convinces
the group that they're going to an all-night movie marathon instead.

Dodging parental spies, the teens reach the overcrowded warehouse - where
Declan is less pleased than Bridget to spot Josh, while Riley & Elle are
shocked by the underage drinking & poor safety. Rachel visits Angus's flat
to warn him about Jessica. Upset that her house guests intend to evict her,
Janae falls into Darren's arms. Angus rebuffs Rachel until she plants a big
kiss, and he pulls her indoors. Kirsten sees Janae & Darren snogging. With
the warehouse literally jumping, several beams crash down from the roof.

Amidst screaming teenagers & flashing lights, Declan pulls Josh from the
wreckage before he comes back for Bridget, as another beam falls across
Jessica. Having taken Rachel's virginity, Mr.Henderson warns her to keep
quiet, so getting home she tells her family where Zeke is. Janae comes up
for air in time to see Kirsten turning away. With many kids still trapped,
Libby has snuck in after Zeke when there is a new collapse, making Karl
choose his daughter over the boy - and then the entire roof caves in.
