[OTP] Neighbours Spoilers - 2008125
Happy Christmas, here are more rescheduled spoilers...
SPOILERS FOR BBC NEIGHBOURS, 21-25 JAN'08 (5316-5320)
Susan tries out a new recipe hoping to cheer herself up, only she needs
Karl's help. Inside a caravan in the bush, Nick thwarts Declan's attempts
to escape. At school, Rachel & Zeke are Susan's only friends, when she's
isolated by a student counsellor. Against Oliver's wishes, the cops are
listening to Paul's phone as Nick calls Rebecca to arrange a drop-off for
the ransom. In a desperate effort to rouse Bridget, the Parkers play rap
music, even smuggle Pouch in to see her, but the girl suffers a seizure.
Although Bridget is stabilised, if a recovery hasn't begun in 24 hours,
her parents should turn off the life-support. Pepper apologises for what
happened at school, then the older street residents hug Susan to wish her
well. Erinsborough News editor Brad Jordan hesitantly lets Riley write an
inflammatory article against the Kennedys. Tim Collins makes Oliver sign
away his inheritance, in return for the ransom money. The front window of
no.28 is smashed by a newspaper-wrapped rock, which knocks Rachel out.
Riley begins an article condoning vigilantism, so Elle shocks him with
how she destroyed Max for killing Cameron. Police use the phone signal to
find the caravan, but the kidnappers have fled. Rachel's head is stitched
up in hospital, where Karl angrily clashes with the Parkers. While Nick is
busy, Laura lets Declan escape into the undergrowth. Rewriting his article,
Riley is most grateful to Elle. As Miranda feels remorse, Susan & Karl cry
in each other's arms, and Bridget responds to Rachel's pleas to wake up.
Paul discovers Oliver & Rebecca have arranged to meet Nick, so insists on
coming too - spotted by a suspicious Sophie. Ringo comes to see how Rachel
is, bringing her flowers, and heartened by her welcome. The police pounce
as Oliver & Paul fight Nick over Declan's absence, while the ransom money
blows away. Janae clashes with Jarrod over his defence of Susan. Miranda's
hopes soar once Bridget begins to speak. Laura takes Adam to where she
last saw Declan, as Rebecca desperately calls out for her lost son.
Devastated to hear Bridget's left side is paralysed, Miranda & Steve tell
her it's merely temporary. The cops call off the search for the night, but
Oliver & Paul help insistent Rebecca keep going, until the exhausted youth
responds to her cries. Miranda regrets her lie as Riley tells his sister
the dreadful truth. Jake is poisoned by eating Janae's box of snail bait.
Amazed to learn that Susan caused the accident, Declan offers to help his
penniless brother. Steve regrets his lie as he works to save Jake's life.

Re: [OTP] Neighbours Spoilers - 2008125
end of the room
O'Brien was sitting at a table under a green-shaded lamp, with a mass of
papers on either side of him. He had not bothered to look up when the
servant showed Julia and Winston in.
Winston's heart was thumping so hard that he doubted whether he would
be able to speak. They had done it, they had done it at last, was all he
could think. It had been a rash act to come here at all, and sheer folly to
arrive together; though it was true that they had come by different routes
and only met on O'Brien's doorstep. But merely to walk into such a place
needed an effort of the nerve. It was only on very rare occasions that one
saw inside the dwelling-places of the Inner Party, or even penetrated into
the quarter of the town where they lived. The whole atmosphere of the huge
block of flats, the richness and spaciousness of everything, the unfamiliar
smells of good food and good tobacco, the silent and incredibly rapid lifts
sliding up and down, the white-jacketed servants hurrying to and fro --
everything was intimidating. Although he had a good pretext for coming
here, he was haunted at every step by the fear that a black-uniformed guard
would suddenly appear from round the corner, demand his papers, and order
him to get out. O'Brien's servant, however, had admitted the two of them
without demur. He was a small, dark-haired man in a white jacket, with a
diamond-shaped, completely expressionless face which might have been that
of a Chinese. The passage down which he led them was softly carpeted, with
cream-papered walls and white wainscoting, all exquisitely clean. That too
was intimidating. Winston could not remember ever to have se
