SPOILERS FOR BBC NEIGHBOURS, 17-21 DEC'07 (5306-5310)


Stephanie is just letting Jarrod down, when the guests are distracted by
the return of her grandmother, Valda. Once Zeke gets Susan home, Karl goes
into a flap, letting Rachel slip the missing paper in her mum's briefcase.
Trying to avoid Valda's interference, Stephanie gets Jarrod's agreement to
a very long engagement. Susan's doctor believes her dizziness is probably
just the menopause, pending tests. Joyriding again, Bridget goads Justin &
his two brothers into a street race, which turns ugly after Declan loses.

Running from the thugs gets Bridget's & Declan's blood pumping, only to
find graffiti on Oliver's car. Stephanie risks her status with the council
by helping Janae save the memorial. An old mate tips Frazer off to a fixed
race, tempting him to fulfil both his & Rosetta's desires by doubling the
compensation. Jarrod gets it wrong again by buying Stephanie an engagement
ring - she'll keep it, but not wear it. Though Bridget empties her savings
to pay for repairs, Declan accepts a challenge from Justin to win his car.

When Susan finds the paper she blames herself, but Karl is suspicious - so
Rachel takes the fall to protect Ringo. Rosetta is most alarmed by a large
withdrawal from her joint account, but Diana calms her, and anyway Frazer
chickens out of the bet. Pepper's woes with Adam affect her confidence at
school. Though the horse wins, earning each punter a small fortune, Frazer
quits gambling. Diana leaves to work with her ex-husband in Sydney. After
a lecture from Zeke, Ringo informs an ailing Susan that he's the cheat.

Nick & Laura's extortion plans go awry when they discover Paul no longer
owns Lassiter's. Frazer gets the new principal to suspend Ringo for a week,
provided he's punished at home. Lou can't resist sparring with Valda, who's
selling plus-size lingerie online. Elle is surprised by Riley's jealousy of
Oliver. Banned from training for an upcoming half-marathon, Ringo turns in
frustration to Rachel, and they share an unexpected kiss. As Laura blames
herself for Gus's death, Nick vows to make Paul pay - by other means.

Declan & Bridget are winning a drag race as they zoom past the patrol car
of Adam & Sophie - who chase after the Hunter boys. Searching for anything
fishy, Elle has to hide in Laura's bathroom when somebody returns. Despite
vowing never to race again, Bridget & Declan get ambushed by the police &
their parents. After Sophie kisses a shy Adam, Pepper confronts the woman,
who never realised she'd made Heidi's life a misery. Elle has just learnt
that Nick is good to his girlfriend, when Laura says she'll take a bath.
