Extras on BtVS DVDs
The thread about extras on the forthcoming Serenity DVD
reminds me that R1 BtVS DVDs included commentaries that
were not on the (earlier) R2 DVDs, certainly in s4 and
iirc in s1 as well.
Does anyone know whether these commentaries and/or extras
were added to the 40 DVD "whole of BtVS" boxed set or to
other DVDs (eg the character-based sets)?

If Play's notes on the to-be-released-in-March repackage seasons
(amaray) are any guide then no (and Play do seem to have used new
marketing material). S4 does not appear to include the commentary with
Seth Green (Wild at Heart, iirc).

Could you be more specific as to which S4 episodes contained commentaries? I
have the Scandinavian R2 PAL version which as far as I can tell has the same
extras as the Region-1 boxed sets I owned previously.
There are no extras of any kind in the themed boxes which I've looked at so
far.

Vague has already told you - R1 S4 (which was issued later) has an added
commentary (Whedon/Noxon/Green) for "Wild at Heart".
As the UK release of R2 S4 has subtitles in Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and
Finnish, I very much doubt that there is a separate "Scandinavian" version
:-)

Oh right. The person I downloaded it from made a point of stressing it had
Scandinavian subtitles so I assumed from that it was somehow different from
the version sold in the UK .
