Sceaming Banshees on Match Of The Day
I am glad Jacqui Oatley has made it MOTD, now I can turn the volume down and
still enjoy the match, when she was on 5live that was not possible.

Lets try for more women on TV and off the radio.

Most commentators are noisy.

If you don't want any screaming then just make sure you don't listen to
Alan Green or Jonathon Pearce. They are the two worst offenders.

Male commentators do not start off sounding like an over excited Steve
Bunce, Jacqui starts like this and just gets worse.

Blimey, Bernadette!

Haven't you heard Conor MacNamara? (Spelling?)

Why does R5 continually replay goal action, at a higher volume than
normal. then add a noisy background soundtrack? I've heard the
Manchester United goals as least twenty times.

Someone thinks they are being clever but it's a turn-off. Literally.

I'm posting via Google. It has slowed up again.

This probably won't show for about eight hours. It's now 15:10.

Oh how I enjoy those football 'trails' where it's just one screaming
commentator after another screaming about a goal i think, although
it's difficult to tell as THEY ARE JUST SCREAMING!!!!!!!!!
I say trails but there was been an increasing tendency to just put
these soundbites throughout programmes when chatting about football.
PLEASE STOP NOW!!!!!!!!

Oh yes, and whilst I'm at it, am I the only one who thinks that Phil
Williams is distinctly average? He makes Matthew Bannister look like a
polymath.

No, I haven't heard him Mick.

I don't bother listening to football any more, only overhear bits when
OH is listening and noticed what a bawler Alan Green is. Jonathan
Pearce is the one who annoys Rob.

I agree about the background noise. It seems to be have the "in" thing
for quite some time to drown out any commentary with a load of
bellowing and white noise. It used to be good to listen to various
sports commentaries when you could actually hear what the commentator
was saying (please note "saying" - not "bawling").

Commentary boxes used to have windows which could be closed if the
spectators became excited which made it possible to follow the game.
Now I just don't bother because it has become such a mess.

Five isn't worth bothering with apart from when Peter and Jane are on
or, occasionally, Rhod Sharp.

I'm not that fussy. I just wish for a Five that has people who can
pronounce the name of their, world-class, capital city correctly.

They live and work here, so have no excuse for being so pig-ignorant.

Salford is welcome to them. Can you imagine having Salford on your
