Waste of time and money
Did anyone else catch the seemingly interminable live report from Heathrow
earlier today. If you didn't, here is a summary:

The plane has landed

I can't speak to the sailors.

They can't speak to us.

We can't see the sailors.

They didn't talk to any other passengers on the plane.

She also included a ludicrous comment along the lines of: "There was a
light wind, but not strong enough to put the sailors at risk".

I sometimes get the feeling that news stations - both radio and TV - feel
they have to give in-depth coverage to developing stories, even (as in this
case) there was absolutely nothing useful to report.

I missed it, but it sounds par for the course for Radio Salford.

How many times are Zimbabwe stories covered by flat-vowellers in South
Africa?

Breakfast are currently doing a biggie on "bed bogs", whatever they
are...

Even the Sun would be embarrassed.

Does he try to sounds like an Aldi version of Ian Hislop on purpose?
