Well you missed a sparkling show from Bacon. The phone-in subject was: tell
me how you will manage without me for four weeks if I have a throat
operation, and vote on whether I should have the operation.

[Kind answer: I can manage quite well not listening to any prat who thinks
anyone is remotely interested in his temporary health problems
Unkind answer: if there's a chance it could go badly wrong I'd vote for you
having it]

He also exhibited his normal complete lack of ability in handling
interviews. A good interviewer will interrupt an interviewee if he goes
off-topic or starts waffling or giving a party political speech. Bacon just
interrupts because he disagrees with the person and wants to get his own
view across again and again. Very annoying.

It was an invite to take the piss out of him.

These are things I like about him. Especially when he loses his rag.
