Bleak Expectations
I don't know whether the cast and crew ever read these groups, but
just in case, I just wanted to thank them for a superb evening out at
Broadcasting House last night for their two side-splitting
performances of Bleak Expectations. I haven't laughed so much for
ages. Brilliant.

Does that mean there's a new series? I liked the last one greatly.

Yes, or 'Volume 2' as the producer called it. To be broadcast in
August, I believe.

You may write to the producer.

Do they have "writing" in your world?

What a strange, sarcastic comment.

It is not in the least strange. 'You may write to the producer.' is an
obvious solution to the problem of how to thank someone for something.
On the other hand 'Do they have "writing" in your world?' is sarcastic.
So you were half right.

The BBC web site message boards also are worth trying. They're nicer
than here, and better attended. You will still get people saying that
the programme is rubbish and _The News Quiz_ should be on instead
although it's not as good now as it was before they got in all these /
funny/ people - but of course you knew that.

LOL! Thank you Robert. I shall try the message boards, although I
suspect only a hand-written letter will suffice...
