Off the page
A very interesting discussion of 'disgust' (1:30pm Wednesday) acknowledged
that the emotion is not only reserved for bodily fluids but also extends to
the Fred Wests of this world. So it was a very interesting and very Radio 4
lacuna that omitted to remark that disgust is also the emotion felt by
heterosexuals for homosexuality. (ie not homophobia - a fear of, but a
disgust for, and I don't know the Greek word for it).
Apparently males, serial killers and spit are disgusting on Radio 4 but not
homosexuality.
A devious bunch these Radio 4 producers

It's hardly universal. (Unless your universe consists of Squills
and Callwells). Is there as much disgust at female homosexuals as
male ones? Do woman average as much disgust at homosexuality as men?
Is it related to inferiority complexes of shome short?

Speak for yourself. Most of us manage to get through most days not
thinking about it at all. Something you clearly have trouble with.
The rest of the time, we reflect that cocksucking is actually quite a
nice thing -- if you're on the cock end of the deal.
Arse-fucking is also not a bad way to spend a few minutes, presuming
your wife is amenable.
So it's not the cocksucking side, or the arse-fucking side that's
disgusting. Because those are by no means restricted to homos.
What can it be, then? What about homosexuality could possibly cause
Simon to go all wobbly?

Could be because most people are not disgusted.
>A devious bunch these Radio 4 producers
Women suck cocks and take it up the shitter. Are you saying women are
also disgusting?

Re: Off the page
oh do pay attention, I've told you before. The examples you give are of
heterosexual acts. Disgust is the emotion usually associated with homo
(greek homeo-, english same-) sex acts. You have to get over your obsession
with sodomy and argue rationally.
Disgust is also the predominant emotion when contemplating sex with one's
sister. It doesn't mean that one's sister is perceived as disgusting. I know
you're only a grauniad reader but you must try harder!!!

I think you ought to try to speak for yourself. The emotion you're
more probably experiencing is guilt.

Goodness, you do get around, don't you?
