I've just received my Public Lending Right statement for 2007. I'm in 
the 2nd band of authors of the most-borrowed books for a second year. 
I've also received a shoal of new year greetings from my public plus an 
offer of a book deal from a publisher. I have doubts about the latter 
because books are not such an important part of my output these days. 
I'd like to spend more time with my money.
