It has been brought to my attention that Welles had considered shooting 
RFK not long after the shooting of the President.  The natural place to 
shoot RFK was in Washington at the funeral of JFK but the security was 
too tight and as you know the buildings in Washington do not provide 
adequate cover for an assassin.

Welles was planning to make a film called "Sarajevo" which was an 
account of the shooting of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand who was heir to 
the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and his wife the Duchess of Hohenburg who 
was somewhat related to myself.

Welles could not get the project financed and wanted to shoot on 
location and in Italy.  It was suggested that the film would be shot in 
Hollywood and New Hampshire but Welles would not have it and for that 
reason it never got off the ground.
