Steve's back next week
Oh well, never mind as millions must like him,but I will have to listen to
another station.
Pity, he was good on Radio 1 (maybe its an age thing).

Don't worry Mike, you aren't alone.
That said, I'd still rather listen to SW than people like Russell Brand. I
still don't understand by R2 employs him.

I agree with you - I don't understand why people think he's talented.
However, he did go up in my estimation after I read the Relative Values
interview in the Sunday Times magazine with him and his mum. If nothing
else, he is a good son!

Completely with you there, Mike. I wish he'd just clear off and leave Tim
Smith in charge. Fortunately work precludes me from having to suffer his
inane witterings but when I'm off it's Nemone and Steve Lamacq on 6 Music,
in preference to "the big head" (sorry, show).

There we disagree - I hated him on R1 as well!

Thank goodness for that, at least there will be some banter and wit in the
afternoons now, unlike that derge Leeeeesa Tarbuck who was reasonaly
entertaining with Mark Radcliffe in the past but on her own has been like
having a moaning sister sat next to me all day.

It seems they've managed to arrange an extension, sadly.

Oh I dunno; anyone who can keep completely cool while reading out a message
about having a "lamb shank" can't be all bad. She might be good in the
Sarah Kennedy slot, but maybe she "doesn't do" early mornings.

Oh so am I... but trust me, I'd be a *really* crap R2 presenter.
