Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - 2 June
BBC Radio 2 will mark the 40th anniversary of the release of the Beatles'
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band with a special recording session in
which several big-name artists will record cover versions of the landmark
album's songs. Bands confirmed to participate include Oasis, the Killers,
Razorlight, the Kaiser Chiefs, and Travis. Newcomers James Morrison and the
Fratellis will also take part in the sessions.

Perhaps the most interesting participant, however, is engineer Geoff
Emerick, who recorded the original Sgt. Pepper sessions with the Beatles at
Abbey Road Studios. According to BBC News, Emerick will use the same
four-track equipment he used with the Beatles 40 years ago to capture the
new recordings.

The results of the recording sessions will air June 2nd on BBC Radio 2.

I think everyone has stopped asking Mike to 'just post the link'. We now
accept that this is what he does. And in the great scheme of things, it
ain't important.

So you're as incapable of clicking links as Mike is of merely posting them
with a brief summary?

This is a group about radio 2 and not just about clicking links. At least
there are people on the group who discuss radio 2 instead of just constantly
complaining of others posts!!!
Some of you spend more time talking about group etiquette than the topic in
hand.

This is a group about radio 2 and not just about clicking links. At least
there are people on the group who discuss radio 2 instead of just constantly
complaining of others posts!!!
Some of you spend more time talking about group etiquette than the topic in
hand.

I think everyone has stopped asking Mike to 'just post the link'. We now
accept that this is what he does. And in the great scheme of things, it
ain't important.
