Chart Commentary 20/1/07
Singles
-------
A *VERY* close contest this week, with Leona finally prevailing over
Eric Prydz by just 92 copies!

NE inc. d/l climbers :

Top 10 : Mika #3, Just Jack #4, JoJo #6
Top 20 : View #11, Freemasons #12, Klaxons #16, Amy Winehouse #18
Top 30 : Ordinary Boys #22, Automatic #30,
Top 40 : Koopa #31, Evanescence #32, Jarvis #36, Jamie T #40

Mika becomes the 2nd highest d/l NE, behind only Gnarls Barkley - and
this 3 weeks before it's out on CD! Its appeal is still a mystery to me
though.

The midweek predictions were wildly inaccurate - they omitted Mika &
Klaxons completely, said Just Jack would only be top 60, and massively
understated the View's position.

Albums
------
Amy Winehouse climbs to #1, through a combination of TV exposure &
cut-price offers.

The only top 20 NE is Kylie, at a disappointing #7. :(

Next Week
---------
Singles
-------
Given the high entry position of Mika, he could well become only the 2nd
d/l-only #1, thwarting JoJo.

NE inc. d/l climbers :

Top 10 : View, Klaxons, Just Jack (obviously), View
Top 20 : Ordinary Boys
Top 30 : Guillemots, Jamie T
Top 40 : none

Possible d/l entries : Jibbs, Keane, Mason, MCR, Vanessa Hudgens

Albums
------
No new releases of any significance, so a change of #1 seems unlikely.
