Chart Commentary 13/1/07
Singles
-------
Leona holds on comfortably at #1, albeit with rapidly declining sales.

New Entries :

Top 10 : Eric Prydz v Pink Floyd #2, U2 #4
Top 20 : none
Top 30 : Jojo #22
Top 40 : Eminem #32, Amy Winehouse #40

Re-entries for Snow Patrol #9, Gnarls Barkley #30, Automatic #33, Nelly
Furtado #38.

The Kooks & Cast Of High School Musical climbed back from outside the
top 40.

As for the effect of the new rules, 6 of this weeks top 40 would have
been ineligible under the old system, plus 8 more between #41 & #75.

Between #76 & #200, I suspect there will be dozens!

Albums
------
Take That hold on at #1, with Amy Winehouse surging up 14 to a new peak
of #2, presumably on the back of a sale somewhere.

No new entries.

Next Week
---------
Singles
-------
Leona should still have just enough momentum to hold on, but I suspect
it'll be her last week at #1.

New Entries :

Top 10 : none
Top 20 : Amy Winehouse, Ordinary Boys, Freemasons
Top 30 : Nerina Pallot
Top 40 : Automatic, DJ Shadow, Evanescence

Looking ahead for possibly download entries : Just Jack, Keane, Klaxons,
My Chemical Romance, Mika.

Albums
------
Only one new album, which I sincerely hope will be #1 - Kylie!
