Spitting was about all we were capable of after a Sunday morning trip 
down from Exeter to find that the bus hadn't been alerted to wait for us 
while the train faffed about over engineering work.  We understood it 
would be told to hang about.

If the railways ever decide to rein in on weekend engineering works I 
might feel more inspired to go exploring.
