I think we should have a special section of BUMRA. The memorial Humph

It's a charming idea, but given how infrequently I manage to update the 
site, and how intermittent Humph references are, I fear I shall have to 
politely decliine. But I did enjoy the thought. :o)

I have heard a script-writer commenting on how well he delivered the 
lines, and how much funnier they seemed in his hands than when they were 
written. So no, I would say, he didn't write them. I do believe he 
ad-libbed some of the asides though.

The scripts were written by a chap called Iain Pattinson. He was
interviewed on one of the obituary shows.

I believe most of them were scripted for him, and I heard him say that 
he had to read them without thinking too long about them, in order to 
keep his composure.
