Spoiler Thursday: Brewer's Droops (without preliminary booze)
What's up with Ed?

We gather (we have had it bashed about our heads for a couple of weeks
now) that Ed is still mooning over Emma, but are we expected to
believe that his feelings fir her are so intense that they render him
impotent?

He tried to give the Oscar Wilde defence (1) but it seems
unconvincing.

1. No not that one. The one that runs "Either this wallpaper goes or
I do" (But phrased rather more elegantly I think.)

I get the impression that Ed has been avoiding intimacy with Fallon ever
since she got home. Now that he's being put on the spot, it looks as if
he still can't face it. I don't know that we're meant to assume
impotence (it was a bit early in the proceedings to assume that all was
lost, wasn't it?) - I just thought he didn't want to confront Fallon in
an intimate situation because it would be difficult not to reveal that
his feelings had changed.

Is this going to be new, improved version of the 'let's go out to
dinner in a posh restaurant so that I can dump you' scenario?

Maybe he's been to see "Teeth". (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0780622/)

(Does he also have Betty Davis knees?)

Well I don't think that Ed can rise to the occasion, in fact I don't
think he can stand up to Fallon at all at present. When Fallon asks if
something has come between them - Ed will look down and reply 'Err, ...
no - nothing at all.

Wasn't that "Ohh, Eth ..." - oh no, different series (and no, I'm not
_really_ that old, just heard the repeats. Was always said with feeling,
though ...)
