What is the downside of using a projector screen with a gain of 2?

A white projector screen has no gain, with its even reflective picture to
people at all angles to it.

To get gain yours must say be a silver coated or something and thus only
those sat more or less staight in front will see the brighter picture.
Those off center will see a very much darker picture, possibly not
watchable.

Thanks.
I found a web article that described some differences between the different
screen types (after I posted the question). It makes sense now.

Thanks.
I found a web article that described some differences between the different

A white projector screen has no gain, with its even reflective picture to
people at all angles to it.

To get gain yours must say be a silver coated or something and thus only
those sat more or less staight in front will see the brighter picture.
Those off center will see a very much darker picture, possibly not
watchable.
