Try abebooks.co.uk

I'm hoping that a copy of Colin Kapp's 'Unorthodox Engineers' will turn
up one day, and his 'Something in the City'.

How much are you willing to pay for the former? I have a read-once
hardback I bought about 5 years back, and while I'm quite fond of it I
could be prized loose with enough dosh ...

Not even close - IIRC I paid more than that for it when I bought it, and
there'd be shipping on top. I was amazed to discover there were still
unsold copies around (via Amazon) as recently as 6 years ago.
