Is there anybody there?
Is anybody reading this group apart from me? Its existence seems to be a
well-kept secret. For example, I've just read a post about an SF author
that was crossposted to alt.books, alt.books.sf, rec.arts.books and
uk.people.sf-fans. but not here.

I'm wondering if I should propose a rmgroup.

I'm taking the three book doorstop set he wrote after Cryptonomicon on
holiday next week. The theory is on a cruise there should be lots of time
to read, and it doesn't matter that they are big, heavy and hardback. In
practice I bet I'll still be reading them come Christmas. But if they're as
good as Cryptonomicon it will be worth the effort.
