For the last 10 years (being generous with the timescales), Hollywood
producers have seemed to work on the premise that special effects are
an adequate substitute for plot and style. And their endless remakes of
movies that had generated huge cult followings usually demonstrate how
flawed that premise is.

	I have Transformers: The Movie on Blu-Ray DVD [1]. You don't have to 
tell me. ^_^

	[1] Not that I suspect anyone will believe me, but a film with giant 
robots and explosions every thirty seconds would not have been my first 
choice. I needed a disc to try on the drive and my local Smiths does not 
have a very large selection...
