That's impressive. I've only notched up 12 years.

Oh, and I got into manga before I got into anime, I just don't
remember how long before...

To some degree, I've been an anime fan all my life - I just didn't know
it for most of it - but mainly became aware of it in its own right when
Akira was released, so around 1991.
17 years? Wait, that can't be right... ^_^

For me, Battle of the Planets and Star Fleet. I think I was a bit too

Really wish somebody would try to get it released. I have some poor
quality MP3s of the theme somewhere but I would like to see it again. It
has been a very long time since even the Beeb repeated it!

I have some of BotP on DVD. Goodness knows why! Star Fleet is another one
of those series I wish they would put out again. I still think it would
give Naru-yawn and Yu-Go-Yawn a run for their money, even if they don't
push card games to promote it!

Get ADVs Gatchaman release. You need to see the Giant Statue With The

I believe I have some good news for you, then:
http://www.fabulousfilms.co.uk/
Release date is still uncertain (despite certain website listings),
although its confirmed that the footage will be remastered and one extra
will be an interview with ol' missile breasts himself, Go Nagai.
On my recent travels, I finally picked up something I've been searching
for every since I heard about it - a Big Dai-X toy.
Riding a wind-up tricycle.
Holding a pink balloon.
No, really.

It makes sense. Perhaps it could be the start of a cute mecha line...

Don't. I've already bought a vinyl mecha toy this month, and vinyl is
only one step away from My Little Pony as it is!

Perhaps "My Little Puni-Puni" might be more appropriate. In this
version Poemy does *not* start off in a bad mood, as no-one can be
anything but happy with one's own Little Puni-Puni, even if it is in
reality just her transformed self... Oh, you can keep the alien mecha
in the story, but the wand-fish doesn't pong in this version.

I agree - with Marine boy and his OxyGum - strange how he seemed to loose
his oxygum in most precarious
situations....
I just seem to fix Marineboy and Stingray with the same memory - - - -
somehow I feel the animation of stingray was better - I can't explain
ow - they just seemed more real........
anyway - whats - hot - and whats NOT on the anime scene now - I've just
watched Dennou Coil
and I reallly liked that.
Macross frontier is my newest and it seemed to start well but I'm holding
back on praise as the plot thickens...
however the girl with the green spaniel hair 'Ranka' too cute for now..

Frontier was hinting at cheesiness in a few episodes, however with EP7
it went full on gorgonzola! With EP8, it is back to school, and a
different set of animators (you can tell, the characters look
"different". and it is corny.
Still, a fairly fun series...
