Rei Yamato knock-offs?
Has anybody seen those Ayanami Rei figures by Yamato on Ebay?
They either seem to be about £32 (from the US) or £5 (almost always from
China).
Some have blue bases and some have brown - does anyone know if the cheap
ones are knock-offs? I'm thinking 'yes' at this point.

Do you mean these http://www.hlj.com/product/YMT34487 ?
List price is shown as about £33.24 so, yes at £5 they've got to be knock-offs.

Thanks, Peter! There seems to be this one
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/EVA-Rei-Ayanami-Yamato-1-6-Resin-Painted-Figure_W0QQitemZ110231222558QQihZ001QQcategoryZ348QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Which is priced between the two, and am a bit tempted - any thoughts?

First post here. As a friend of an eBay seller, I can say you usually
mark up something as stupidly low with about 15% over the price you
paid for it as the profit margin as the price-to-match before the
object **will** sell.

Low prices attract attention and so does bid-fury.

Why not have both?
