Oh, I had one of those with a 'turbo-rewind'.  I could hear it pick up speed
and it always stopped with a very worrying *THUNK* that I was sure that one day
would result in it ripping the end of the tape off the spindle!

	Yes, I was always slightly worried about the smoke being emitted from 
the loading door... ^_^
